Most moisturizing bath soaps?

Tauer Perfumes makes several pure vegan glycerine based soaps that outperform any mid-high end product I have been able to try. Perfect for dry or sensitive skin and made with his perfumes so they complement a devoted wet shavers routine. I have used Data Miner and Solar Engineer. The others are on deck. Pricey per gram but they last well offsetting the initial price.
I have also had good results using Keihl's Ultimate Man Body Scrub Soap. It is not marketed as moisturizing but it does a good job with skin care in the very cold & dry winter months. They have very generous sample size bars that one can get at no cost with the right approach.
Chiseled Face are great in warmer humid weather especially if accompanying their other products.

I find the Stirling bath soaps to be very nice. I also like the TOBS sandalwood bath soap.

Although I've used the Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements shampoo bars for a couple of years now (like them a lot) I hadn't used their bath soap until this week - I recently ordered a few bars of of the Moroccan Argan Oil soap and started using the Pineapple Bay Rum scent this week. They're great. Very rich and thick and moisturizing with the right amount of scent.

I have been looking at these types of soap from various vendors. You said you use the shampoo bars? I presume these could be used as a whole body soap? How do they last?

I know Bar soaps left in the shower will deteriorate slowly... Humidity and residual splashing. However, when I brought a shave soap in (I didn't like for shaving), the things rapidly was falling apart. Believe it was an Ogalalla puck?

I don't want to have to carry the soap in an out, treating it with kid gloves, just to make it last.

I haven't tried the shampoo bars as a body soap - They're supposed to be formulated for hair so being a follower of instructions, thats what I use it for.

As far as soap maintenance goes, I put the shampoo puck and the body bar on a soap dish that I bring into the shower to use and then take out after - I've got one of those shower caddy things (this one https://www.amazon.com/InterDesign-Orbz-...SNQF6D2K80 ) so it makes it easier to transport stuff. My wife has one too so we don't mix up products. We didn't used to do this but since the big master bathroom reno of a couple of years ago there's a place for everything and everything must be in its place. The shower area is one of those open concept things so everything is in full view and it just looks neater this way. Those caddies are convenient, especially if you share a space with roommates or you're a student living in a dorm with shared bathroom/shower facilities.

As long as you don't leave your soap sitting in pooled water between uses, it should last you a reasonable length of time. So even if you leave your soap in the shower, if you have it in a soap dish that allows air circulation it should dry out between uses. Its funny because my issue is often that the soap lasts too long and I'm ready for a different scent before the bar is used up. Thats really a problem with some of those really large soap bars - I cut those in half so that I'm not stuck using the same soap for over a month Its not that the soap quality deteriorates or anything, I just like variety.

Like many have mentioned, I have had luck with Chagrin Valley and Stirling body soaps. Also recommend MWF body soap, but if you have any reactions to lanolin, than avoid.

I get Saponificio Varesino bath soap bars at TJ Maxx, typically like $3 a bar. They last forever and I've never used a better body soap.

Aleppo soaps from here if you live in North America https://www.sharboinc.com. 
There is nothing better for your skin and hair then the Aleppo soaps. The oldest in the world. Not only moisturizing but also treating and preventing many skin conditions. No animal ingredients.I prefer the ones scented with essential oils. The scent of olive oil and laurel oil the original 30% or 50% laurel berry oil is quite strong.
