Could do with a titanium one though, it's 185g light

Oh, it doesn't look like brass in that pic.
I've always wanted a hone type 15.
Does it shave similarly to any other razor?

It is the lighting, definitely brass.
Not really, it has it's own character I think. Very smooth but wish it was lighter, the weight isn't a problem but would make it easier to manoeuvre. Also it is huge.
Largeish gap gives an efficient shave, 1.2mm.

Went to check it out... They have an Aluminum now. Unfortunately, it's out of my price comfort zone (around $188 usd). It would definitely be lighter, though.

SS is in production but still not much lighter. Hope to find a shorter handle one day.

Least blade feel?

I think so. I can only relate to the dart, the tech. Lol and its night and day to me. I mean the shaves were extremely rough no matter what blade i used. Sort of felt like shaving with serrated knives. I dont have all the other ones listed here nor tried them. But the r41 isnt as aggressive to me as it used to be and its extremely smooth so smooth i use it for touchups

Hmm ok. I guess for me smooth/rough and blade feel are assessing two different things.

Smoothness or roughness I’ve associated it with more or less blade feel. From the three examples I’ve used, the more blade feel the rougher the shave. To me the r41 has less blade feel than the other two examples I mentioned. The tech to me had most and it matches how i would rank them least blade feel to most and smoothest to roughest in shave.

The Shake Sharp, Barbasol FH, Dart, and Le Coq CH, my various Prismatic hybrids, Micromatic OC for example, have plenty of blade feel but never feel rough or tuggy for me. I experience them as smooth. The R41 for me is inconsistent, on my beard it's fine but tugs like crazy on my head. Ditto the Ikon Tech and Blackbird. I experience them as not smooth razors, with compromised efficiency despite their aggressive designs. I know lots of people who don't shave my head experience them otherwise while others agree.

The brushed brass is pretty sweet, much better than the polished brass that I think is the standard.

Titanium Blackbird. It is as efficient as high gap WR2s, but Ti BB has a lot less blade feel.

Edwin Jagger 3One6. Very smooth and efficient razor with a large blade gap and neutral blade exposure.
