I sold my SS version because I didn't quite rate it in the smoothness
department...the efficiency was top notch.

If the Ti BB is waaaay smoother than its SS counterpart, I might be interested in taking a
second look.

Precisely why I've never tried a Blackbird. To a man, I always hear "blade feel." Beautiful razor, but function wise it does not sound right for my use case.

Shane does offer a 30-day guarantee so it wouldn't cost you much to try one. If I lived in the US, I would send one of mine for you to try. You may end up liking it. You never know. Smile

I would put both the 2019 and 2020 Diamondback ahead of the RS-10 in terms of efficiency. Others that I really like are the Rocnel Elite Aggressive, Weber, and my MingShi 2000 either fully open or slightly "over-clocked" (turned past the stop). I hate to say it, but for being efficient with almost no blade feel, the MingShi is really high on my list--certainly worth experiencing (for $8-9 delivered when I got mine).

From my experience, I would rate based on the criteria of "Most efficient razor with Least blade feel", in no particular order: H&S P076 17-4, Raw RS10, Paradigm Diamondback 2020 and Yates H plate.

Great choices.

For me though, the po76 has a lot of blade feel ... am I in the minority? No75 for me has no blade feel, however

I would agree with that. For me the PO76 has quite a bit of blade feel. The 75 not so much

For me the PO76 is very dependent on your shave angle, it took a few shaves playing with the angle to get the smooth shave and the efficiency Both with my Ti and Copper

Isn't this what we are all chasing to some degree - looking for the most efficient and least blade fee resulting in a comfortable shave ?

From a vintage standpoint I would put the Gibbs adjustable as a top candidate.

The others mentioned such as Paradigm DB, Raw RS10 would qualify but they are no longer made. If I would only think about the modern razors which you can still get then the Timeless 95 Ti and the Yates H plate are your best choices for efficient yet smooth. Personally I cannot wait until Yates comes out with a Titanium more efficient plated razor (planned) which could take the original SS Yates to a whole different level.

Best of luck gentlemen

Wow almost forgot about the original Gibbs.. yeah add that to my list for sure. On setting 6+ it’s up there with all the moderns as far as smoothness & efficiency In my opinon.

Can I ask some of the forumers about the H&S NO75 and the Tradere that Blackland brought back? What are your thoughts on those for blade feel/aggression and then efficiency of shave?

H&S NO75 to me is not as efficient as the Yates but has next to no blade feel and is a smooth shaver. The N is for neutral blade exposure. I don't own the tradere but it is said to have blade feel I'm pretty sure. I believe it's an aggressive razor but easily manageable with technique.
