Thanks everyone for your replies, my apologies for not replying to this thread sooner.

Over the past few weeks, I have been been experimenting with shaving at night and shaving during the day. Ultimately, I found that I prefer shaving on a morning because it allows me to stay smooth throughout the day. I found that due to the growth rate of my beard, shaving at night results in stubble appearing by 10am the next day. I really enjoy leaving the house clean shaven. However, shaving at night was far more relaxing and my wife appreciates it  Winking

My routine is now:

Weekdays: Morning shaves
Weekend: Night shaves

Thanks,
Greg

Both, actually. I prefer to get up around 3:30am to shave, which typically takes me a while (haven't got my technique down yet). My fiancé has extremely sensitive skin though, and complains about whatever stubble that's accumulated by 5pm. Because of this I shower and shave upon returning home from work each evening. I've abbreviated my morning routine though. Instead of the traditional "brush and lather" shave, I apply "Creamo Shave Cream" to quickly touch up my shave from the night before. Gets me through the day and enables me an extra hour sleep.

I have to shave in the morning or look like I didn't shave by 10 AM.

If I ride my bicycle to work - I shave and use Thayers. Once I get to work I clean up and apply an aftershave splash I keep in my locker.

You could still use your brush with the
cremo. Just apply the
cremo to your face and then face lather it with your brush.

I'll have you know that I took your suggestion. As a result I no longer shave twice a day. I apply Creamo as a base to my lather on my first pass and shaving oil as a base on my 3rd pass. My shave is sufficiently close now that I can go a full day without needing to shave.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Good tips! I typically shave in the morning(s) as even if I take my time in the evening, by morning I am presentable but only just.

By EOD I am a little grizzly.

Do occasionally shave in the evening and actually find it much more enjoyable.

To piggy back on Clayton's suggestion, Cremo Cream also makes a great base for a super lather if you go that route. I don't do it very often as I face lather close to 100% of the time but have done so with great results!

I shave at night, after a warm bath. It's my relax time, at the end of the day!

Glad you've shared your experience. I admit to becoming a bit obsessive about getting a close shave since converting to wet shaving. Because of this, I've questioned whether improved results were because of Cremo, paying closer attention to detail or a combination of both. Regardless of "why" though, I'm thoroughly pleased with the results and it's nice to read about others having similar experiences.
