No idea he no longer uses the tins. It’s been a minute since my last purchase. What do the new jars looks like? Also it seems like on his site the jars now contain ~5oz of soap. It was always 4oz right?

Just looked at my barbershop (used it last night) and none of my tins say how many ounces.

It's about 5 ounces, and you are right that the weight in not on the label. More than than the 4oz from other artisans and not quite the 5.8oz you get from Stirling. Also, his site says 5 ounces Tongue

I believe the site has always said that you get about five ounces of soap, whether in the jar or as a bar. (Admittedly, it would be nice to have that information somewhere on the label, too.)

Seen one picture of a jar, so far. White plastic, the lip with the threading is wider than the rest of the jar. Looks fairly pedestrian, especially since the labels seem to remain the same. Then again, I suppose Mike’s was never about flashy packaging, which is fine.

Glad I gave him another shot. Also happy he ditched the metal tins.

Mike's has been one of my favorite soaps fot years...but have never been a fan of soap in tin cans. Do I remember correctly that Larry (CRSW) switched from metal to plastic a few years ago, too?

Yes, I think Larry’s switch happened last year, along with many other changes that took place.

So I sadly sold my lone tub of Mike's but reason being is that someone really wanted to try it and I just wanted to clear my den out a bit more as I'm still doing that.

But good news is a vendor in Canada is going to carry Mike's so can get it easier and in the new tubs.

Anyone have any thoughts on Mike’s Barbershop scent? I’ve never smelled it and was thinking about grabbing a tub. I’ve used Mike’s Lavender and Bay Rum in the past and enjoyed them both, just never replaced after I’d used them.

Very similar scent to Maggard London Barbershop and Strop Shoppe Barbershoppe.
