Mick's Grooming PROPER SHAVE

When we relaunched our store and updated the product branding, we decided to concentrate on four main scents that would be available all the time. Other fragrances would be released in limited quantities throughout the year. When these are gone, they will be gone. 

So what made the cut?


Cillian - "The Vibe"

Cillian ("KILL-ee-un") is a throwback to barber shops from days gone by. A fresh, clean manly scent with Bergamot, Basil, Oakmoss and White Patchouli. 
It's our signature scent.

Conor - "Cigar Bar Heaven"

Conor ("CUN-ur") is a complex, sophisticated, deep fragrance. It's slightly sweet, a little bit spicy and warm. Oak aged bourbon, tobacco and cedarwood are the main notes.

Séamus - "The Lone Cypress"

Séamus ("SHAY-mus") is sultry and seductive, sophisticated and airy. Reminiscent of a coastal storm with sea salt, ocean spray, and the creamy woodiness of cypress and driftwood.

Tomás - "Decadence"

Tomás ("Toh-moss") is a wonderfully sweet fragrance. The smooth aromatics of pipe tobacco, creamy vanilla and opulent spices.

When do you expect samples back in stock?

We are expecting the samples to be in stock within the week.

They look nice and sound tempting.

Are they hard soaps or croaps?

Our PROPER SHAVE soap is not a hard puck soap. If it's not a hard puck, it must be a 'croap' right?

PROPER SHAVE is a firm shaving soap, but you can push your finger into it. You can easily scoop some out of the jar if desired.

Ok, good point... Firm is a much better word. It can absolutely be loaded directly from the tub, which is a defining point for me. Most creams and a few "Croaps" don't fit that description.

Our PROPER SHAVE samples are back in stock.

The samples are 0.8oz mini-pucks. They are approximately 1.5" DIA by 0.75" tall. 

Please note that these do not come in a container. They ship wrapped in parchment paper and sealed in a plastic bag.
