I was fortunate and GroomingDept sent me 3 Menlo heads to play with. As instructed, I concentrated on V4 and V6. I used both for 2 complete shaves and one head to head matchup. Both heads are very good. Plenty of efficiency and smooth in the process. I didn't measure gaps but both heads put a 16 hour BBS on me. I couldn't tell any difference in the results but the V6 had slightly less blade feel and was a smidge more comfortable. I swapped the caps around, assuming they were the same and nothing I felt lead me to believe any different. The V6 was lighter and more nimble. It balanced very well on my hollow Wolfman handle (I really wanted to play with the Menlo dimpled handle as I find it different, in a good way). I liked the scallops on the top of the baseplate and the matching top cap for the V6 although I don't think they changed the shave at all. I did like the looks tho.
Overall, Jeremy Menlo Shaving has a couple of very, very good heads. Either one would make an excellent addition to my den and I look forward to the eventual release. Thanks Jeremy and Mo, that was a whole buncha fun!

LOOT Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
I'm honored to have been involved with Jeremy in getting this razor designed! He did the leg work, I just gave opinions from V2 all the way to V6 I know he is working hard setting up for production.
FYI, I have no financial ties to Menlo Shaving. A couple of years ago, Jeremy and I connected on Instagram!

Jeremy’s razors are amazing and I was fortunate to be chosen to review them! They are just outstanding and I can’t wait to get the one he brings to production with a special longer handle just for me. . Jeremy is also one of the nicest artisans I have ever talked to or dealt with. Can’t wait for this one!! I put my reviews on Instagram under gmhjr06.
