The Personna (Med) Prep is one of my go-to blades. An all-around great one. I have some other favorites, too, but there’s always something a little special about using a Prep. The Prep seems to find a good balance between smooth and sharp, and the blades last quite well for me, too. (Used my last one for 12 shaves.)

I have 259+ of the Personna 74 Med Preps...my favorite blade, and one lasts forever!

Ultra sharp, Ultra smooth, Ultra longevity...what more can one ask for from a blade?

Read many great comments about the Personna 74. The current MedPreps are my favorite with my box of 250 now almost half gone.

There is definitely a mystique around these blades, similar to the Wizamets. Most people rate them very well. I have never used them, but want to give them a try.
Where can you buy these blades with the assurance that they are the real hospital surgical blades, and not a copy? Also, who typically has the best pricing on these blades? Thanks.

Right here on Amazon. Look for the part number 74-0002. You verify this at the Accutec product page. Accutec  owns Edgewell, which purchased the Personna brand some years back, and the Accutec product page shows the blade and the part number.

While we’re on the subject, med preps are still high on my list, running third behind Wizamets and Kai.

I wanted to be sure I got the real deal so I buy the Med Preps from a medical supply company: Robbins Instrument.  I have enough of a supply that should last me at least four years.

Thanks for the link to Robbins.  I followed your link and saw that the part number (reorder number) is 74-0002, same as it is on Amazon.  However, shipping aside, the 100 blade box is $7.95 cheaper on Robbins.
