May 9th? Really? Checks calendar.... Yep it's May 9th!

This was predicted but I though it would only be in the actual mountains.
It was quite blustery. The snow stuck to the trees.



Nothing to do but enjoy some apple muffins and tea while enjoying the view from inside.
You can see the snow swirling around.




ML suggested making a snowman. Found out that the snow stuck to everything but its self. So I "scooped" him together with a lot of patting to make it adhere.




We got a passable fellow out of the deal. The cap is from the store our daughter works at.



Thought maybe he should be safe in the covid crisis  



We took a walk around the yard enjoying the views.







I like this picture of the mountain behind our house.


All in All we  received 6 inches. It was more than predicted since it was supposed to stay up in the mountains.
And one last picture. As mentioned the snow didn't really stick to its self. Lots of compacting to create the snowman.
But it stuck to this wind spinner quite alright.



Quite a lovely Saturday actually.

We got the same storm, but thankfully only 3". Spring snowstorms are pretty and the wind we got didn't allow it to weight the trees and power lines this time so we didn't need to use alternate power. The last big spring storm we got we were without utility supplied power for awhile. This storm was all melted in 2 days.

I'm quite loving this cooler weather in May so far down here in Philly...I absolutely hate summer..

Those east-coast summers can be quite terrible, especially, in the larger cities. When I used to live in southwestern Ontario, those humid and high temperatures made things very uncomfortable. I don't miss them, at all, living out in the west coast.

give me 40-60 degree weather all year long and I'll be in love..

I'm quite loving this cooler weather in May so far down here in Philly...I absolutely hate summer..

Those east-coast summers can be quite terrible, especially, in the larger cities. When I used to live in southwestern Ontario, those humid and high temperatures made things very uncomfortable. I don't miss them, at all, living out in the west coast.

You'll have to move to the Pacific Northwest for that, if you can tolerate the excessive rain, grey skies and darkness in winter.
