Okay, this isn't "recent" new, but it is new...

Is it possible to have too much shaving stuff? If so, I may be there. Was looking through my closet last night and in a box under a couple of shoe boxes (where I keep my dress shoes when not being worn) I found this...

Talk about Unobtainium!! New and unused..

Ooh yeah, definitely Mark. In fact, the question should be " Is it possible someone in these forums doesn't have too much?"... Because we outnumber the folks with a reasonable amount of soaps/brushes/razors. Lol.

Never heard of QED but it looks like a glycerin soap. I never got great shaves from those transparent soaps. Too bare-bones for my skin. Some have awesome scents though (Mama Bear soaps, for example).

Of all the "melt-n-pour" type of shave soaps, these were considered by many to be the best available. I had several of their soaps in the (distant) past and all were top performers. Excellent scent quality. Never had a problem with either irritation or post-shave dryness/tightness. When QED stopped producing them, there was much "weeping and gnashing of teeth" in the wet shaving community. People snapped them up on the site and wherever else they could be found.

I had long ago given up hope in ever getting more. This was truly a pleasant surprise!

Well in that case, congrats. Certainly a good surprise.

They must have been before my time... I only started this addiction, I mean journey, in 2018. I even missed Sue's soaps (Saint Charles Shave). I don't know if they were still about when I started, but by the time I got word about them, they were fairly unobtainable.

Nonetheless, definitely a good, nostalgic acquisition.

Arrived today from Roma. There is so much character in this brush, I'm not sure if I should use it or just display it.[Image: pe5cTQx.jpg][Image: hwNp3jN.jpg][Image: AaC8iYX.jpg][Image: QIu8cc6.jpg][Image: D78mfVA.jpg]

I started in 2005. Yeah, Sue's soaps were very nice. Her passing was so tragic.
