Maggard Synthetic Brushs and knots

I was checking out their purple synthetic brush. my wife might like that one. right now she's using my reknotted ever ready brush with a knot that doesn't have much backbone nor is it densely packed, IMHO.

I have both a 22mm knot black handle synthetic and the 24mm purple swirl.  I like both and use them a bit.  I am less than 3 mos. into DE shaving, so take that into account when evaluating my statements!  I started this shaving experience with an Ambroley best badger from amazon. Then added an Omega Pro 49 boar and S10005 synthetic (24mm knot) when Maggard had a nice Black Friday sale.  So those are what my shaving experiences had been before adding the two Maggard synthetics to the ever-expanding "shave kit" that almost needs its own room!

I have found the Maggard synthetics to be softer than the best badger, but not as dense.  It hardly took me anytime to get used to shaving with them.  I experience the Maggard 22mm to be as "big" as the Omega S10005, and the 24mm knot Maggard brush seems a lot bigger.  I think it is the overall shape of the knot that gives that impression to me.  Both Maggard brushes worked very well for me and actually became my daily brushes immediately when my badger suffered an unrecoverable mishap and was tossed out.  After a couple of weeks or so of use, I find that I prefer these Maggard brushes to the Omega that I have.  I am thinking the Omega will become my travel brush.

I have the 24mm green marble synthetic and I LOVE it. I still prefer my Razorock boar brush, but this synthetic is super soft and just PUKES lather. My daughter likes it, as well, so she will be getting the purple one for her first "kit"...

That's good to know, the pic on the site is decidedly brown. I'd be down for an OD green one for sure.

I wouldn't mind the purple one in the shape of the other handles either. Just haven't gotten into the current shape.
