I recently discovered MacDuff's Soap Company ... and it's not the Simpsons' one.
https://macduffssoapcompany.com/
A small Canadian company (Edmonton, Alberta ... like Karve) created in 2017, which offers very interesting products.
Two lines of fragrances, one "territorial" (Alberta Series) and the other more complex (MSC Series).

As always, the technical side attracted me.
The formulations are rich and modern.
For soaps, two formulas:
  • V2 running low
Stearic Acid, Coconut Oil, Tallow, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Glycerin, Avocado Oil, Mango Butter, Beer, Green Tea Extract,
Silk Peptides, White Willow Bark Extract, Paraben & Pthalate Free Fragrance and / or Essential Oils.
  • V3B new
Stearic Acid, * Tallow, Glycerin, Castor Oil, * Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, * Babassu Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Coconut Oil,
    * Camellia Seed Oil, Mango Butter, Aloe Vera, Goat Milk, Hydrolyzed Oat Protein, Sodium Lactate, * Argan Oil,
    * Jojoba Oil, * Pumpkin Seed Oil, Silk Peptides, Green Tea Extract, White Willow Bark Powder,
Paraben + Phthalate Free Fragrance Oil, Essential Oil Blend
    (*) ORGANIC
Equally interesting are the accessories:
  • After Shave Lotion (Toner)
Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera Juice, Glycerine, Polysorbate 20 (Emulsifier), Olive Oil PEG-7 Esters (Ecocert Emulsifier),
Organic Jojoba, Preservative (Propylene Glycol (and) Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate),
White Willow Bark, Sodium Lactate, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Silk, Hydrolyzed Oat Protein, Vitamin E, Allantoin,
Vitamin B5 (DL-Panthenol), Paraben + Phthalate Free Fragrance Oil, Essential Oils
  • Beard oil
    * Argan, * Black Cumin Seed, Sunflower, Avocado, * Perilla Seed, * Jojoba, Coconut, * Safflower, * Almond,
    * Pumpkin Seed, * Camellia Seed, Abyssinian, Meadowfoam, Neossance Squalane, Vitamin E
    (*) ORGANIC
  • Beard balm
Bayberry wax, Beeswax, Candelilla Wax, Carnauba Wax, * Argan Oil, * Black Cumin Seed Oil,
    * Jojoba Oil, Illipe Butter, * Babassu Oil, * Shea Butter, * Coconut Oil, Vitamin E
    (*) ORGANIC
  • Beard butter
Carnauba Wax, Illipe Butter, Mango Butter, Murumuru Butter, Cocoa Butter, * Babassu Oil,
    * Shea Butter, * Coconut Oil, * Safflower Oil, Vitamin E, BTMS-50
    (*) ORGANIC
I also find the packaging beautiful, and the site is easy to use.
But above all the fragrances, with very balanced but at the same time particular blend.
In short, a nice surprise.

I noticed these one the new shop that Marko posted and some of the scents look great! Unfortunately my den is fairly full right now, but at some point I’d love to try some of their wares.

Yeah, I think these guys deserve to be next on the buy list... I am always interested in organic goods, and I have to say the Canadian produced soaps have been top tier so far.
I think the only thing that made me hesitate buying when I was on their site a month ago is the fact they have two current bases... 3A and 3B (but I readily admit, I don't know WHY that turned me off).
No more nonsense, and I will buy one of each!

I've just received Crowsnest Pass (3A). Ought to say that the scent isn't too much attractive from the puck. I'll try it next week.

ischiapp where is the salt in the ingredients? I looked on the website and thought that was interesting that water wasn’t mentioned and neither was sodium and/or potassium hydroxide. Not saying there is a huge issue but that isn’t something that has been left out in my years of purchasing. They look like they have plenty of variety for in products. Maybe ill start with a bath soap order first. Some good looking scents

I have V3A and V3B. I personally did not notice much difference. Maybe V3B has a slightly better glide. Both formulas are uniquely top-notch soaps. All characteristics are at the highest level. The smells are very complex, multi-level. I liked . I like Canadian soaps because the condition of my face after shaving is different from most other soaps. The skin is soft, natural, slightly velvety. A very pleasant feeling.
I think it's worth trying the soap from this manufacturer. You will not regret .

I’ve been thinking about MacDuff soap for about a week now ever since it was recommended to me by WeeScott   the only thing holding me back was a concern that it might be good and that I’d wind up buying more soap. What the heck, worse things can happen

I shaved with this soap again today. And I'll tell you, at least one can of such soap should be on the shelf ...

Yes, nothing in the site / lebels / SOTD.
But a couple of pics online show a nice croap.
Not sure about water, but I think there're both sodium and potassium hydroxide.

Anyone has the real thing, to read the INCI of V3B ???

EDIT:
From Spanish forum, the V2 formula label.
No water, all from beer and both hydroxides.
I think V3B is the same, with Aloe Vera and Goat Milk.
Very good ...
