I took a blind flyer on a MacDuff's soap, Backcountry Bourbon, and very much like it. Headline scent notes are cedar, toasted oak and vanilla. "Strong notes of toasted oak wrapped in a bed of warm vanilla and spice. Our Backcountry Bourbon scent embodies a dram of your favourite whisky had in celebration of long hikes and hard won views." Very rich scent. I believe that my particular version was made with beer. I highly recommend it. My only regret is not ordering the matching aftershave.

This particular soap and a Joserra soap, Rodrigo de Jerez, are the two most interesting shaving scents I have encountered in 2020.

Nice Glenn, that's the one I had in my cart before gaining my senses and thinking I need to use more before buying more......

Which scent?  Hopefully the bay rum so you can let us all know how it is.  Lol

I’ve got a bay rum splash on the way and I’ll let you know my thoughts. It sounds like Macduffs_Soap_Co  has som interesting bay rum/inspired products coming

Thanks ischiapp I'll look into this for the new year.  Hopefully we can get MSC stocked in Europe and help with that shipping.

Just updating the scent of Crowsnest Pass from the puck was uninteresting for me, but by no means unpleasant. I'm sorry Sean for my quick impression.

That said, the scent is a classic tobacco-vanilla where I can pick a bit of bay leaf, all from the perspective of an untrained nose.

Performance-wise this soap is with the best tallow soaps.

The Bay Rum is very nice. If you’re a bay rum fan I think you should add this one to the collection. Nice base too, not drying
