Yeah it’s actually BDLM 1, which I already have in Kodiak base:

Rather than a 1:1 dupe, this one has just the aromatic part from Jubilation XXV, pretty patchouli forward and without the spicy part. I quite enjoy it, but since is almost done I was wondering about Vanitas as replacement.

Flash does not sound like a first cousin door. But twice removed.... Vanitas not close to the scent of Kings. Nice puck though.

What's your assessment, FlashOne, of the Kodiak base vs. AON and Slainte, especially, as well as vs. Joserra and maybe some of the other premium bases?

I just have a couple of old samples in the Aon base that I haven't used in literally years, gonna revisit them in the next few days and try to give you an updated answer

Swellcat, i use Tapatalk and i can't see handles. - it removes them. I think you passed the question to me-not apology ies in advance.

I jumped on M&M soap early as the owner is from Flower Mound TX, where I lived and raised my family [38 years ]!

The first base liquified on me in the tubs. Bummer. M&M replaced them and i paused usage for a couple of years. And then bought three pucks of the Kodiak base and found it satisfactory- good cushion, good slickness. I didn't get on with the scents and passed them forward. I found the Slainte base slick but again but nothing extraordinary. I guess I am an LJDJ fanboy, as I find the slickness, cushion post, and scents to be top shelf and clearly in my top 8 TALLOW soaps along with ethos, wsp, b&m, GD, DG, SH, and WK.

I think i will give them another go next year. Sorry if i jumped in uninvited as tapatalk leaves me exposed.

If anything, I might be off-topic for a Joserra thread, but Our Man in Rome seemed to kind of create a bit of an opening.  I've been reading historical posts as well as inviting new insights from anyone and everyone into the M&M soaps.  The experiences of others can be informative; thanks for sharing yours.

What is everybody's take on the various LJDJ formulations? Any more cushioned, protective with superiour postshave?

Love the scent; love the performance.  Each soap is unfailingly a superb performer, and with a scent which is IMO a good deal more likely than not to be creative and delightful.  As "for cushioned, protective with superior postshave":  Yes on all three counts.  LJDJ is not without peers, but IME nobody does cushion, protection, or postshave better or more reliably than LJDJ.
