Looking for first synthetic

Are they still available? Not having any luck finding it anywhere.

Synbad is one synthetic that I really did not enjoy using.
When wet it was very "floppy" with no backbone at all.
2BED from apshaveco feels much nicer and performs better than the G5 knots too.

My recommendation would be a Muehle 25 STF - best knot on the market!!

I have one of these Muehle 25mm STF knots and like it.
Between this and an Omega Evo, these are all I use.
I still favour the Omega by a bit.
The Evo feels softer and a tad more luxurious to my cheeks.
The Muhle has a bit of pokiness/scritch that feels a bit more bracing,
and awakens the facial follicles, I suppose (I don't mind, but it must be noted).

This week I received a G5C from AP Shaves.  Also used it for five shaves so far.  Now I see why folks recommend G5Cs.  While not as stiff as some of my badgers, it's similar to a mid-backbone fairly soft badger, and it is so easy and comfortable to use.  No scratch or any forced harshness at all.  Compared to an Omega Evo, it has noticeably more backbone.  The G5C is similar to, but not quite as firm as whatever Kent uses for its synthetics (now that Kent has stopped using badger), and the Kent BK8s has grown to be my favorite synthetic.  I like the G5C a ton, and I think I'll now sell my Evo (anyone, DM if interested, I'll give a fair price).  In fact, I ordered another with a custom handle, this time from Maritime.  Including shipping and a handle, the APShave (with one of their basic, but really quite comfortable handles -- pic here) cost me less than $40. And it's a keeper and will be a fabulous travel brush.  Worth trying. Hard to go wrong.

It might be interesting to see if this prickliness could be mitigated by setting the loft a bit higher,
like Muehle and Edwin Jagger's original brushes with the STF knots do...I asked for a customised
54mm loft from Rudy if Im not mistaken...the Jagger EJ87's loft is 58mm. If I ever get another from Rudy
(and he still has them), I might opt for a higher loft.

I'm not a fan normally of synthetic brushes but I am enjoying the G5C more than I thought I would.  Not enough to replace my badger brushes but still nice.  In fact mine is in a Maritime handle go figure, though I don't think many people know of him he has some real stunners.  Often times his handles sell before I can even get to see them but there have been I couple I wish I could have purchased.

How poky are we talking, I enjoy untreated badger hair with a good backbone but I don't want the brush to remove my hair before I even put a razor to my face.
