gone to Carolina in my mind
I plan to review the stainless model tonight or tomorrow, but it is time to start thinking about sending the goodies to the next lucky fella.  As I understand it, CK89 is next up, followed by Calm_Shaver, which is a slight change from the original plan.   If that is not correct, please let me know.  If it is correct, then I would ask CK89 to please PM me your snail address, and I will PM you back the tracking number when the parcel ships (probably NLT tomorrow night).

Tonight's shave was a fine BBS shave with the intermediate, 1.0mm stainless head.  Like the 1.2mm, the 1.0mm is also a very fine razor, and it will likely be the preferred choice many.  For me however, the 1.2mm sits exactly in the sweet spot.  Like others, I found the 1.0mm head a little smoother and less efficient than the 1.2mm.  But for me, the increased blade feel of the 1.2mm s still comfortable, and it makes it easier to keep my bearings, keep a good angle, and know where I need to go.  I want to stress that I do not generally prefer the most aggressive razors, and my preference for the most aggressive Le Maurice surprises me - but pleasantly.  Preferences aside, both the 1.0 and 1.2 require vigilance, and if that vigilance is maintained, both the 1.0 and 1.2 serve up fun and efficient shaves.

I do have a few more general feedback items to share.  First, I too would prefer some kind of knurling on the handle.  I noticed that for the first time tonight, and that is because I am older and occasionally have more difficulty with my hands.  Nevertheless, we don't get younger, so from my perspective, knurling would be nice.  Second, having taken a long look at https://www.atelierdurdan.com/en/, it is clear that Augustin offers a commendably wide variety of choices.  Third, I had a specific razor in mind, but I regrettably passed on the sale because I did not know the weights of the components involved.  (In my case, a hollowed out stainless handle.)  I suspect that providing weights would generate more sales, although it understandably might be a lot of work, given all the choices.

My last feedback is about the titanium head.  With  mixed feelings, I decided to close out my portion of the pass around today, foregoing a shave with the titanium head.  It seemed clear that I was not going to buy the titanium, and I did not want to hold up the pass around.  That said, polishing titanium can present more challenges than other metals, but even without shaving,  one cannot help noticing that the Le Maurice Titanium finish is gorgeous!

Okay.  I heard very promptly from CK89,  and if things go according to plan, I will have the package on its way to him tomorrow.

Thank you so much Augustin Atelier DURDAN for making this pass around possible, and kudos on your handiwork!   Happy  Happy

Today I received the razor safely. Will try it tomorrow.

I got my first shave with 1.0 and 1.2. I think the blade angle made the razor very comfortable.
Both heads are pretty good, efficient and easy to use. I barely feel the blade with 1.0.
Like other members said, 1.2 has a bit more blade feel, but more efficient, and still very smooth.

I have tried 0.80 yesterday for daily shave. It had minimal blade feel, but still was efficient.

I think your head design is quite good. Even don't mind loading top cap or base plate, since it is very easy to load or remove the blade.
You are updating head, since some user prefer loading top cap more. It is cool.

You are also updating the handle design to make it fancier.
I honestly couldn't find any recommendation to make the razor better. It is already excellent shaver.

Good luck with your sale. I hope you will sell enough so you could bring the market newer designs.
I will get one more shave to compare 1.2 with CG Lv3, then send to the next participant.

1st Shave Review: First off, Thank you to Atelier DURDAN and andrewjs18 for making this pass-around possible. Holding this razor in hand has a premium high quality build. Very well machined and I really dig the design. Hope the new changes don’t change much to the original design.

On to the shave. Brass 1.20
I had to wait a couple of days to have enough growth. I am an every other day shaver but I waited since this past weekend to shave. 1st pass, I couldn’t believe how efficient it was. Very surprised because the blade feel was minimal. This characteristic I enjoyed very much. It has the perfect efficiency for me for every other day. Wtg went very well, made more strokes and it took down most growth. Of note, I didn’t enjoy the Oc because it required a different angle and didn’t like that. So I went with the Sb for the whole shave. There is no difference in effectiveness of Sb or Oc, but the Sb was noticeably smoother.
2nd pass Across the grain went very well. I was able to really dial in this 1.20 in this pass. It felt very easy in use and my strokes were very precise. Smooth like 1st pass. Has a similar feel like Rockwell 6S but smoother and way more effective. I would describe it more efficient than plate 6 smoothness like plate 4. Very muted blade feel. This razor clamps the blade very well. I was impressed with this characteristic. Left skin feeling very nice. I was done at this pass and only needed some touch ups but I was enjoying the shave so much that I decided to go for pass #3 - Money PassWink

Pass 3 - I judge every razor I own or have owned by this pass. Its my gold standard pass. It went flawlessly. Not much left but got me to a Bbs+. No nicks weepers or irritation to speak. I have to agree with Dave Dave in KY , This Razor Hits A Grandslam!! It hits on all cylinders for me. There are so many good razor artisans & engineers and this razor stands out as exceptionally well built and I really dig the presentation box.
