It's not titanium, and it's not brand new, but it has moved to central Maine to be mine!

SHAVE #2 WITH TITHENA

Today's shave was with the Tithena and a Wizamet blade.  The end result was a BBS shave.  The issue today was the blade.  Something was amiss with it.  Of course, I was too lazy to stop and change blades.  The Wizamet was no where near as comfortable as the Accuthrive.  I just felt too much of the scratchiness of the blade rather than the smoothness of the razor.
And yet, the Tithena delivered all that I had hoped for; an issue free, blood free, joyous shave.
I purposely put soap and water on the handle during the shave and there was absolutely no issue.  While I am on the subject of handle slippage, I have never, ever had an issue with the Ares handle slipping in my hand while using it.  I have seen some comments from competitors of the Lambda claiming slippage, BS.
Back to the Tithena.  The razor performed perfectly.  It is just so maneuverable, that it reminds me of an SE razor, but with a much better shave.  If you can handle the cost, this is THE RAZOR to buy.
I will do one more review tomorrow using the Dorco Prime blade.
Good shaves to all.

That's a neat idea, Wally cigarman, to purposefully make the handle slippery. If I can remember, I'll try it tomorrow!

Thanks for taking the time to review the Ti version. I have had mine for a while now. It is blade dependent, on my face. Sharp blades are a must. Fantastic shaver. I like any of them, LOVE it in Ti.

SHAVE #3 REVIEW WITH THE TITHENA

Today I used the Tithena with a hidden gem of a blade, the Dorco Prime.  I used the Ethos Dragonsbeard soap and a/s.  The shave was marvelous.  So much smoother and more comfortable than the Wizamet, yesterday.  I am not berating the Wizamet, I am only saying that it wasn't as good as the Dorco Prime or the Accuthrive.  I had 2 days growth and it made no difference to the Tithena.  It just hummed along the stubble without effort or discomfort.  The razor really does just glide across the skin.  But, there is a bit of blade feel.  I normally use a steep angle.  I did with the SS Athena, but for some reason, a shallower angle with the Tithena works much better for me.  With the shallow angle, there is nearly no blade feel.  It is just such a marvelous razor to use.

Some observations.
USE A SHARP BLADE.  I am finding that the Tithena is blade dependent.
CHECK THE ANGLE.  I found that, even though the Tithena has a large angle variance, the shallower the angle, for me, the better.
HANDLE.  There is NO slippage.  But, if you are worried, use the bottom of the razor as a balance during the shave.
AUDIBLE.  There is a definite audible sound when you hit the sweet spot.  BUT, don't sing along, they will think you are crazy.

The razor has proven to be more than I had hoped for.  Expensive? absolutely, worth it?-ABSOLUTELY.

That will be the end of my Tithena reviews.  I will be happy to answer any questions either here or with a PM.

Great shaves to all.

Had the best luck with the Permasharp in the Athena copper. Definitely need the sharp blade in there to balance the neutral exposure. Wish they had some more aggressive options but their craftsmanship is top tier.
