Yep. I just emailed with Theodoros and added myself to the waitlist for the next release. He also said he expects it will be two months, which is much quicker than I anticipated. Great news.

And thanks to all the reviewers so far. This razor really sounds like my kind of thing. Plus it will be nice to have something made in Greece and presented in such a distinctive way and with such pride in the quality.

I didn't know this razor is made from a bronze aluminium alloy...cool.

Lambda says Athena is milder than Ares (which is described as a R41 but much smoother)

The head statistics Lambda shared for Athena are: gap=0.4mm, exposure=0
that sounds very tame on paper to me.

The WR1 0.94 has generous exposure, so I was imagining that the Athena's 0 exposure would present
as quite mild on the skin.

Looking forward to hearing more feedback on different shaving angles.... and their effects on overall efficiency
and smoothness.

Hello to everybody and many thanks for the nice words from the guys who bought and tested Athena.
A lot of work has been done on the design and manufacturing of this model and i hope that it was worth it.
Next batch will be larger and i plan to have it ready in around 2 months time. I will try to get them ready earlier but it's very hard. I need to keep the high manufacturing quality at the same level, so i don't want to hurry things up.

Welcome to DFS, Theodoros. As you can tell, I am a big fan.

I do want the the Ares as well, any chance you will revamp that project and bring it back to life?

PS. You seriously undervalue your work.

Nice to see you on here and appreciate the emailed info a bit earlier.

I just ran the Athena again, this time with a GSB. Blade feel dropped between an 80 and 86 when run steep. It also smoothed out a good bit. Very nice shave.

Playing with the angle I learned it comes alive steep. Shallow you can lose the blade but it is ever-present steep.

Lends itself perfectly to my preferred technique. On paper, .4mm a 0 exposure, I should not like this razor. I am glad the numbers were not published, that I saw, because I would not have bought it.
