L&L Grooming - Brushes, Soaps, Aftershaves - Now Available at Maggard Razors!

There's some Santal Auster in stock now at Canadian Beard and Blade (formerly Canadian Blade Co).

I didn't chase this purchase and thought I was out of luck but thanks to this post I checked and figured I would give it a shot. It seemed like a well made soap on both ends so we shall see how it fares for the skin.

I'll be honest that I'm a bit bummed about the release. With all the hype and then the delay to get everything perfect to sell out in an hour was a doozy.

What really floored me wasn't the sell out. I wish these two the best especially after my whole den has converted to their stuff. What sucks is that Scott posted he has no plans to run the soap again.

I could just run unscented bison with the provisions but I'm OCD with matching sets now. Not having the soap especially with that new base has kept me from ordering the salve, AS and toner.

Hi Scott, I'm patiently waiting for a tub of Santal Auster to arrive - Canada Post, what are you going to do? In any case, I was wondering why you chose the name Icarus for this soap base? Given how things turned out for him in mythology - I'm hoping that your wings stay in tact!

Perhaps the loftiness of the aspirations? After further use of this base, it's my new benchmark.

Lunch at 1:30. Seen the tweet from Shawn. Go to declarations site and all face food sold out. Tell myself to wait for a restock so I can buy all at once which was the general idea of Scott having face food stock originally. Hour or so later the soap sells out. No bother I'll wait until Saturday restock and buy altogether.

Canada gets their shipments a few days later. I jump on Canadian Blade and order a tub of soap at 3 in the morning. Order in. Go to Chatillion Lux site and face food nowhere to be found. Shawn posts no more face food.

When soap arrives going to Ebay for a big number to make me right.

While I understood the parfum to be permanent I didn't expect such a short run of soap and face food. Kinda wish that was more pointed in all the run up.

Again, I have a ton of their stuff. This is coming from my consumer hat.

I feel your pain. No doubt between the artisans and vendors the release was a little chaotic. Being in Canada I just focussed on Top of the Chain and Canadian Beard and Blade and managed to get what I wanted. Look on the bright side. You saved a few bucks. To go spend on other shaving stuff

I mean Scott & Shawn both posted pictures of SA labeling it as a Limited Edition release. Not sure what else you want from them. Can't tell if you're being serious or not about the eBay part...

Of course it was limited. It was available for one day. Roam is limited but Will had an end date.

Your right. What else could I have possibly wanted. Maybe an end date or does LE mean "take a guess when I'm done making it".

Two limited items but a much different approach for the consumer.

Yes, Ebay it will go. I'll recoup my cash plus enough for another set of something else
