Who said they weren't tested? There are lots of commercial products that have NO restrictor at all, for comparison.

And I'd say those products are wack. At least the containers anyway.

To your first question, if they were tested and found to not work very well, as has been seen, why would they go ahead and say "Ok, let's go with these."

Personally, I don't have any experience with L&L aftershaves so who knows, I might not have an issue with it. I was just posing a general question I guess.

Well, that's just it... With experience, you know to place your whole thumb over the opening of such containers and dribble out what you need. Is it ideal? Certainly not. Is it a deal breaker? Hell no.

Glad to be a part of the community.

My name is Scott Stewart and I am the owner and craftsman of L&L Grooming.  I currently offer handmade brushes, shaving soaps, and aftershaves.

For my brushes, I primarily work with resin that I pigment and pour myself. I may be willing to work with wood and make either resin/wood hybrid handles or wood only depending on what I have on hand.  My knots are sourced from several different vendors, and if I don't have the knot you're looking for in stock there's a good chance I can get it.

My soap is vegan - and it's a damn fine soap.  I develop all of my scents myself from EOs, base FOs, and absolutes.  My aftershave is a 100% natural splash base.  Aftershave balms are in the works.

I'm always willing to do custom work - brushes, matching razor handles, soap scents, and so much more - anything I make is available for customization.

Thanks for reading, looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

All the best with your business. Do you sell your knots without the handles? I think it is great that you tie your own knots.Thanks.

Personally, I prefer the style of restrictor Scott uses - especially given his splashes are thicker than most alcohol based splashes. Assuming they weren't tested is... Well, you know what they say about assumptions.

He has options for knotting service (for a handle with no knot) and re-knotting (where he'll remove the knot and replace it).

I have L&L aftershaves and agree it's an issue. Also agree that it's not a deal breaker. Glad there is a solution in the works.

@"landlgrooming" are the brushworks and L&L site separate shopping carts? Appears so. No problem with that, just seeing if I could add soap/splash and a brush in one order. No worries if not.

They are separate carts, gregcss. However, all orders through Declaration ship for free, so there is no need to hold off on ordering one while waiting for the other (unless you need to keep the incoming package count low so the SO doesn't start asking too many questions :p)
