I only have two Wholly Kaw, Fougere Bouquet and Monoco Royale and they are both great. I have quite a few L&L and love them all, but my favorite scents would probably be Darkfall and Trismegistus.

It was actually recently released in that version. Limited release, though… If you really get into WhollyKaw, this is a good page to keep an eye on:

EDIT: I hear that the regular tallow formula is no slouch, either. After trying the amazing donkey milk and the (special edition) vegan formulas, that one is next on my WhollyKaw list.

I have several WK soaps in the original tallow formula and its performance is excellent. I wouldn't stay away from it just because its not in the donkey milk formula. I'd call the tallow based formula excellent and the donkey milk formula slightly more excellent. They're both top performers.

I'm probably not the right guy to expand on an expert's description of their soap, but, I really like it, its really nice. All of the WK scents are, in my opinion, subtle and refined. I've always said, why risk regret later when you can buy it now. Big Grin

I am going to have to agree with the previous poster. I had the opportunity to check out most of the WK scents at Pasteur's this past week. They are pretty much all good and very well done. Yes, I do have my preferences. But there are a lot of soap makers where I might like just one or two scents. That isn't the case for me with WK. In fact, I am not sure there were any that I really didn't like.

What is the texture in the tub like when comparing L&L vs Wholly Kaw? I'm mostly an Unscented guy and Scott's Unscented Bison is the best I've ever used. Willing to try Wholly Kaw Unscented Donkey if it can keep up.

It can keep up...and then some.

L&L is a wonderful soap but I find Wholly Kaw’s (Donkey) soap base, lather, scents and post shave to be a superior product.

The texture of WK sits right in the sweet spot between a soft soap and a harder texture (Haslinger).

L&L unfortunately is delivered with a lot of water in the product. I go through it pretty quickly.

I would echo this sentiment almost word for word. I actually like both makers, just to be clear. L&L is probably my #2. To add to what vtmax described, I would also say that the sweet spot for ideal slickness is a bit wider with WK vs. L&L. Both soaps can produce a rich, creamy lather but on the drier side, L&L has a stringier, stickier feel to it, which you don't really get with WK. On the wetter side, I find WK to hold up better. Finally, I would point out that WK has a better post shave than L&L. Both are excellent products but I give the clear edge to WK.

Is there currently any coupon codes for WK? I think I want to try some soap but it's definitely on the high side price wise.

Used the Merchant of Tobacco this morning. Scent isn’t really something I’d say I am fond of, but the performance was fantastic. Will try Monaco Royale tomorrow, but after a sniff of it not sure if it will be for me either. Hopefully the other two scents I get in will be more for my liking. Hopefully if I leave these open a while the scent will fade. Otherwise, top notch performance.
