Get a Yates 921-M. Back in stock at 7pm est tonight. Very smooth but efficient.

I appreciate the heads up. I kind of took my eyes off of wetshaving for a while and tons of new manufacturers have popped up I see.  Always on the lookout for a smooth feeling razor.

After reading this thread and many others, I have HUGE concerns over the trustworthiness of that proposed lead time.

I'm on the preorder for the titanium. Switched internet providers so the email that I have on record isn't gonna work anymore by the time the titanium razor comes out. I've emailed a couple times trying to update the email in my order but never received a response. I doubt titanium razors come out at this point honestly. When Jack was still with the company, on one of the instagram lives they did, they were supposedly not too far off. That live was in the summer.

I'm not posting this to 'knock' Karve. Just relating the history as it transpired. A year ago, on 'Black Friday', I and many others prepaid for the Polished SS Karve. I asked for expedited shipping, it never occurring to me that 'add to cart' could mean anything but in stock, ready to ship.

A few months later I emailed and asked to change my order to standard SS. I received my order, + a small refund of the difference, in a couple of weeks.

Shortly after that Karve offered those of us who had ordered the polished a coupon/discount on a future order as an olive branch to disgruntled customers.

I got on the list for the Ti and figured I'd use it when the Ti became available.

Since we've yet to see the first SS polished, after a year since it was announced, I have no hope of the Ti coming to fruition.

I'm going to order a few plates with my aforementioned coupon and I'll let y'all know how that plays out.

Actually I have heard of 4 total Polished SS razors but have only seen pics of 3 to date. One on a FB group posted last week, one on B&B this week that supposedly he had received a couple months ago, and the one that Jack was posting pics of everywhere.... Titanium aside, I'm surprised there have been no Aluminum razors released as well and he never had any problems doing those in the past!!

For sure most, if not all, of those are cases where people polished the standard stainless steel razor. I know of at least one case where the person was trying to pass it off as a polished Karve but then wouldn't answer a direct question about whether it was one of the official polished razors.

AlanH81 did an incredible job with his self-polish, and I can't imagine Karve doing better, at least to the naked eye. By comparison, I have seen others where only certain surfaces were polished, and those look unfinished.

Would anyone still be waiting on a polished stainless steel razor at this point? I would assume most if not all of those folks were refunded by now.

I didn't include his in the polished count I was referring to. I think his polished razor is beyond what Chris has put out imo... The ones I listed were "supposedly" from Karve direct and to be honest, just everyday individuals that I personally don't think would know what their doing when it comes to polishing!! One of those razors I talked about was the guy that has it, swears its a polished SS but refuses to show a pic of it and says he's never, and never will, use it because it came with a warning in the package from Karve of how easily it will scratch and show said scratches because of the finish!! I thought this was a little far fetched but never the less, that is what he actually posted...
