I'm still not convinced that they have started on either titanium or al razors. Have you sent an email to Karve? I was curious and asked what is going on (or not) with the waitlist:

"We're currently dealing with an order backlog and intend to hit the waitlist really hard once we've dealt with it.
We don't think it would be fair for the waitlist participants to be roped into our fulfillment delay."

This was a week ago. They claim an update will be posted. Why don't they stop taking new orders? He's never ever ever going to catch up.

I imagine he’s also using his shop to fulfill other machining orders too.

I love my Brass, Stainless and Aluminum Karve razors.  I would also like to pick up a Ti version.  I just wonder how a business can make money if they can’t complete a wait list of just 50 ti razors in over several months.

Also, if Jack was hired as a PR guy for Karve, he needs to be putting out daily communication updates.   It’s not that difficult.  I don’t think people would mind the wait as long as they were fed information.

Seems like he is a 'one man band', and is not a dedicated razor maker. IOW, he is a machine shop that accepts other work.

Also ... he is juggling too many projects at the same time.

Yea the lack of information really doesn't help. I can wait, he didn't take any money for the waitlist so there is honestly nothing else we can do other than wait. He's stated on ig that they are trying to clear out the backlog of orders. Hopefully that doesn't mean orders taken after the waitlist of the ti otherwise he probably never clears that backlog.

Karve is a machine shop...the razors are a side gig.
Chris has not started the Titanium yet.
The Jack gent takes pictures for Karve for Instagram...that's about it.
Chris Kirchen designs, makes, inspects, bills & ships the razors.
Chris does not communicate well and he doesn't care.

I expect to see my Titanium next spring, summer, fall or winter...maybe.
No worries here at all...even if he did take my money.

Really? Considering that most days there is no progress being made, you’d like to see a daily update? I suspect it would say something like, “Thanks for your continued patience, everyone. We didn’t really do much to fulfill our razor customer orders today, and still haven’t touched the Ti wait list. We did ship out two brass razors and a AA plate (can’t seem to get rid of those boogers). We promise we’ll get better. Talk to you tomorrow.”

I guess it would be entertaining, at least.

Chris posted a pic on Friday that he would be out for a week or so as he was "enjoying a little camping break" with his family!!

IIRC when he started, razors were a side gig. Now they are the majority, if not all, of his business.

Haven’t heard anything from Karve lately. No eblasts or Instagram. Hope he’s still doing brass at least.
