I followed the reddit conversation yesterday. The one thing that did jump out at me was the stated fact that “very soon” they are looking into automation that would increase their production by more than 10%.
- their business appears to be sustainable without manufacturing outside the razor world.

I’m going to check on the “in stock” button showing stock when there is when in actuality it is out of stock.
Mailing came up. They ship at the end of every month.

I’ve got to drill down for more on the reddit AMA.

In regard to the polished SS on reddit.
“ KarveShavingCo
It was never our intention to deceive anyone.
In the future releases of polished stainless, we’ll be sure to clearly call out the preorder process.”

From reddit. Q- re the backlog. Below the answer
“ As to the current status of our order backlog. It's being made easier as Chris has recently found some help in the shop.
We received over 250 orders during that period which was absolutely incredible for us. We didn't expect as many orders and it took us a little bit by surprise.
The thing that's been holding us up isn't the actual manufacturing of the razors, it's the skilled hand-finishing of the razors. Our razors go through bead blasting (which is what gives our razors that matte finish) and passivating (a chemical process that enhances the corrosion resistance of the surface metal). Simply put, it's difficult for Chris to get to these tasks and make things at the same time.
We are in the process of making a lot of improvements to how we make and finish the razors. Some of these improvements include automating the bead blasting and polishing of razors - this will free up time for Chris to get orders out faster.”

I have been enjoying my brass razor very much. After reading some recent posts here, I gave some serious thought to this whole buying ordeal when shopping with Karve. So I made up my mind to request a refund. I did not see an email option routing through PayPal, so I sent an email from my account with the PayPal invoice attached. I can only hope it will be responded to, as other emails just disappear with no response. If there is some way to request the refund through PayPal that I should be using, please PM me! Looking at PayPal's Help section, they recommend emailing first. Thanks for reading, and hopefully those waiting will be rewarded for their patience soon. I just decided enough is enough for me, and I don't really *need* another razor!

Go to your paypal account, transaction details for this order. There should be a button to file a dispute. If necessary use the contact us feature and call pypl on the phone.

well if they continue to use their customer base for interest free loans & continue to evade stating that essentially everything they offer is a pre order than yes I absolutely agree.
