Karve Shaving Co. A new DE Brass razor to market.

If hints were driving market prices, a wolfmann would be available for $50 or less. It's all about demand and supply. I also hear that this razor is only popular due to its price point. I do not agree as there are razors such as ATT, Timeless, Wolfman and Blackland which started pretty steep and yet people who want those razors - pay for it. It is another story that having paid the price - if it does not meet expectations, it would end up on auction sites or BST forums.

To state the razor is popular and sells so much just because its low priced is doing great dis-service to Karve and the razor quality.

I never said that's the only reason it sells so well. It would help if you actually read the post you're responding to as well as the review of my first shave that I posted.

Parts are being made and orders are going out the door, but correspondence has unfortunately fallen behind. It shouldn’t, but it has, and I’m sorry for not getting back to your messages in a timely manner.

I am working through the messages and I will get back to everyone. Some sooner than others, but I am going through them all.

If you’ve sent a change request and I haven’t responded yet, I will as soon as possible. I check up on each order when I prepare the package, so if there are any special instructions and I haven't seen them by that point, I will catch them before shipping.

Obviously, it’s not the best to deal with it at the end, but I’m working to get ahead of the demand and build inventory. Once I do, I will be able to respond more quickly.

One last thing…there are several customers that didn’t give me an email address with their order, so if you find yourself talking to one of them, please pass this info on.

Does anyone know what the handle diameter is?

Trying to decide between the 3” and 3.5”...

I’ve always favored slightly longer handles, but I have a feeling the Karve Handle is heavy and want to ensure good balance.

I don’t know if it’s helps at all but the weights are listed on the site. They are solid brass and are not light.

The diameter is 12mm on the 3.5 handle.

With my Starrett Dial Caliper: My 3.5 inch handle measures 91.42mm x 12.01mm and weighs 76 grams on my digital scale.
My top cap weighs 15 grams and my D, E, and F Base Plates weigh between 22 and 23 grams each.

Since my Blackland Sabre SS stand has an inside diameter of approximately 12.22mm (Best fit) and my ATT 'Ink Well' SS stand measures approximately 13.11mm (Loser Fit),
The handles will fit both stands. The Timeless 12mm stand is supposedly approximately 12.8mm (I have NOT measured it, as I do not have one), so it should also work.
As always, NO promises and YMMV.

I ordered my CB on 5/17 and received it yesterday. I shaved with it this am. All I can say is wow. The C plate gave me a shave that wasn't quite as close as I had hoped for. A little bit less efficient than my Fatip Gentile. But it was so smooth...almost unreal. When I was done with my 3 passes, my skin didn't even feel like I had shaved...AS balm didn't sting one bit. Tomorrow, D plate on deck and I can't wait.

Aha....finally found it.
Once I saw the Ruds SOTD and video review I inquired about the finish. To which he mentioned that it was done by the previous owner.

I'll definitely be trying this with mine.

No problem bud, I took it a step further after this post with finishing jewelers rouge and it looked like a brass mirror finish.
