Interesting! Cool, thank you. Enjoy the shave.

The result of the shave is a perfect BBS with minimal irritation. Tomorrow will go for another 3pass but with the D-plate.

Very nice Alex! Glad to read your thoughts on the F-plate. It's sounds like quite a jump from the D. I will say a month of shaves and the D-plate is my all time favorite razor/shaver. E & F still in Los Angeles!

I never thought I would prefer the Karve over the Paradigm, Wolfman, Charcoal and others but here we are.Happy2

Taking all things into account, is it safe to say that the Karve is a better shaver than the Paradigm, Wolfman, Charcoal Goods et al? If so, this razor will save me a small fortune acquiring other shavers, as I have had the Timeless and the Charcoal on my shopping list for some time.

Only your trial and testing will get you there!

But...the Karve D is the better shaver than the Paradigm/Wolfman .74/Charcoal L2 and also both gaps of the Timeless...just for me. The D plate is the smoothest most comfortable shave in the den. Some others will enjoy a Blackbird more.

I found a buyer for 9 razors last week after using and getting to know the Karve and am down to 3 razors at the moment.

I'm curious what the other 2 razors you kept are if they were good enough to survive the Karve liquidation?

Only use the Karve and Paradigm now. I never liked switching up razors or collecting. A regular routine results in better shaves for me. But I think I can spot that DART on the horizon. Wink

Very true - only you could be the ultimate judge of what works best for you.

As for me after two shaves only (first shave was a "combo" 3 pass shave when I switched among D, E, and F plates; second - 3 pass F-plate) I could safely say that my Karve-R (F) shaves on par (aggressiveness, efficiency, level of irritation) if not better than the Paradigm Ti first gen and Charcoalgoods L3. Efficiency wise - on par if not better than WR1 .67 and .74 SB, Weber PH.

My DE benchmark razors since they were introduced are BlackBirds First Gen (sharper edges). I have all finishes and they all deliver every time 100%.

I used the E plate for the first time today and I have to say I got the best shave out of the Karve to date. I’m still not convinced it will dethrone the BBS1 but it will run with my Wolfmans, Charcoal, and Timeless. I think this razor is one of the best values on the market being you can get a bunch of plates and still come in less than many other razors

It surely is taking quite some time to get those E & F plates delivered to Vancouver seeing as it isn't so far away from the company.
Does anyone know if there was some kind of sequence to the ordering process as I was under the impression that the individual plates were in stock and would be delivered, right away? I wasn't expecting such a lengthy delay as it has been almost three weeks since placing my order.

I am quite intrigued to see how they shave after all of these comments. Shy

Has anyone compared Karve plates to Parker Variant settings? The gaps are documented for both, but what about actual aggressiveness?
