I forgot a couple things in that list. My Blackbird OC should be in the number 5 spot just below my Wolfman. Can’t believe I forgot that one!! Also, my list does not include my B&R Adjustable razor. As far as DE’s go, that would be in my top five.

I went ahead and edited my list in the original post to include the Blackbird.

I know it's just one person's opinion but that's pretty persuasive especially considering the low cost of entry...I guess the E goes on my buy list.

Shave Maharaja

Mine arrived today with the B,C,D plates. This razor is so stunning ! This must be the "Taj Mahal" if razors in the art department. The heft and weight of the razor, especially the precision of the threading on the head is fantastic. Does it shave as well as it looks ? Eagerly waiting for a first shave tomorrow ! 1) Karve with E or F plate
2) Charcoal Goods Level 3 DC
3) Timeless .95 DC
4) Wolfman .74 DC
5) Blackbird OC
6) Ikon S3S
7)  Tradere OC
8) Razorock Black Mamba
9) PAA DOC Evolution
10) Weber PH, Hone Type 15, Pils

This does not include slants.  I own all of these but have never owned or tried a BBS-1 or a Paradigm 17-4.  Remember, this is just my opinion.

I'll be honest, I wasn't that interested in the Karve razor at first, but upon seeing the polishing some have done on their own and then hearing such great reviews about the E/F plates, I'm quickly becoming interested!

As for ranking my top ten razors... it would look something like this:

#'s 1-4 are in no particular order... All 4 are tied for first place in my den... I can't pick between them:

1a) Charcoal Level 2 SB in antique brass
1b) Timeless Titanium .95 SB
1c) Timeless .68 OC in Stainless
1d) Wolfman WR1 SB .61 in Stainless

2) Rockwell 6s
3) Colonial razors, The General, aluminum (the brass version isn't far behind though)
4) ATT S1 Stainless
5) Timeless Bronze SB .38
6) Charcoal Level 2 OC in bright brass
7) Charcoal Level 3 DC in bright brass
8) Ikon 102 slant
9) Charcoal Level 1 DC in antique brass
10) Mongoose SE in Stainless (this has only recently made my list, as I use to dislike this razor, but with trial and error/implementing some changes, I'm finding myself enjoying this razor for what it has to offer).

I'm very curious to see where the Karve razor "stacks up" on my list... It's encouraging though to see many of the same razors on your list as well, so, if we share similar favorites amongst razors... And the Karve is #1 for you, hopefully I'll experience a similar connection with it! I can't wait to see how it shaves for me. I know ones experience with a razor is quite subjective though, so there's certainly a lot of "YMMV". I personally didn't "get along" well with the Paradigm 17-4 razor, but it is beloved by many. I haven't yet tried the Karve razor or a Blackland Blackbird but I'm curious to know where they would compare for me... I'll know soon enough with the Karve razor, as I plan to purchase it, probably plates D, E, and F. I'll certainly share my experience with it!

Just so you know, I own most of those razors but I only included DE’s in my ranking list. I have the SS, Brass and Aluminum Generals and I think the Brass and the SS Generals along with my Sabre L2 and Rocnel SE-G are my favorite SE razors. Man, I could go on and on but I’ll stop for tonight.

This is the reason I went with titanium, but ultimately sold it because I dont think the $$ is worth it. Now looking to try the ATT calypso aluminum R1 next week. If that does not work out then I will order a Karve with C & D plates; the weight is about 10 grams heavier than my ATT S1 with Maggard MR11 handle.

I'm eagerly awaiting the E and F plates. I'll show restraint until those drop. Hopefully.

I'm in the same boat I'm almost ready to buy the D plate but I already know I'll be sorry probably just wait a little bit longer and the E and F will be available
