Low to virtually no blade feel. Feels like a Christopher Bradley B plate or B+. Efficiency of a D or E plate. Easily the favorite tool in the den right now. Chris has a masterpiece with this offering.
I didn't have plate B , D ,E . I only have plate C . But, I fully agree with this opinion. Overland is a very soft razor. Very efficient. I will not say that he became number one for me. But this is a great razor, for me personally. However, it costs less than $100. I recommend trying it.
Amen!
Not only is it reasonably priced, It's also brass. It will likey outlive any of us, if you don't abuse it. Whole Brass isn't as strong as steel, it's not aluminum or Zamak either. It's solid.
I may have missed it, but I haven't seen any real talk about the construction. It's very solidly constructed. High quality and well thought out. Even the post on the top cap seems to be super long (he may have done this with the Karve too, I'm can't recall). To me, that says no matter how much I screw and unscrew it, it's never going to lose purchase on the handle. Even that odd-looking handle is comfortable and not slippery at all (for me).
