I just happened to be poking around on the website and noticed this notice. The lead times have gone from 4 to 8 weeks. He does mention in the notice that there are shop improvements coming online to cut this time down come January. Quality remains his top priority and those of us that have waited for razors and dealt with the unfortunate difficulty in communication, know this is true. When my order arrived it was 100% correct and craftsmanship was spot on. Let's hope communication is addressed in these upcoming improvements.

*This post is here for information purposes and by no means to bash Chris/Karve razors. I am hopeful and would love to see more Karve availablity personally.*

Christ is many things, but the good is he is about.

1. Safe shop.

2. Quality, no blend or seconds leave shop. They go into recycle bin.

3. As I met him he is honest to the point of honesty say he is bad at communication.

4. If you want a Karve, it’s going to be await, just how things are at karve.

BUSINESS IS TO GOOD. Good price born to have.

I agree. I have never met him but when he did communicate, we worked the details out I needed. I did see a video clip that he NEVER sells or lets seconds leave the shop. I like him and I love his products. Even without the communication issues, the wait time is sometimes a deterrent. I understand it and appreciate the reasons for it, but it does make me pause. But, again, when you do get it, it is top notch.

+1 Fully agree with this. World class products, third world communication status in terms of customer service support which has been documented throughout this forum and others across the web. No need to rehash anymore of it here. Personally, he was a true gentleman over the times I've chatted & dealt with him with timely deluvery of products that I purchased. And I will say this, if he can figure out how to work with Titanium to produce a razor, watch out because I believe it would be a top 3 performer in all of shave land. The Brass & Copper that I own are exceptionally smooth and efficient shavers. In Ti, it would be a game changer for many, myself included.

Karves CB Copper with its C/D SB plates are top 3 shaving preferences for me, just sublime and long lasting with nary a sign of irritation. So where does one go from here... Karve CB in SS or the Oliblade M3teorite 3 plates is worth trying even if one has the Oliblade adjustable.. Thoughts?

Well the OliWorks is on SALE. 25% Off.

You got 30 Days to return if you dislike.?

So it’s like a time to Test Shave, if you return you out return postage.

Most who bought Metorite love, some did not. But they returned for Refund.

Sounds like opportunity to buy, try, and if it not to like your only out return postage.

I just received a personal email from Chris Kirchen! My order is shipping Monday (Canadian Post may have something to say about that!) and he was very polite, humble, and a true gentleman. I know he gets a bad (and deserved? I don't know.) rap about communication. I did not initiate this, just figured it would 4 weeks, then 8 weeks, and whenever the package arrived, it would be received gladly and be fantastic as always.

The Christopher Bradley, the Overlander, and the Bison are most likely the top three razors for me for 2024, if I had to guess. Great razors, wonderful craftmanship, and made with care by one guy in western Canada!

Canada post was on strike for close to a month I’ve been waiting for many items to arrive unfortunately it is so backlogged that may take till February not to mention that my New Wald Brush that’s been stuck since Nov 20th no tracking nothing that’s I can see or confirm with DHL which usually they handle over to Canada post my package to pay customs and for delivery as well..

Sadly Canada post workers are forced to go back to work and slowly sorting things out hopefully things will resume as normal and for folks to receive their packages..

My feeling is that this “Krown Corporation” will be privatized as matter of time sadly!!

When I did my order, I initiated contact about making some changes and it was slow getting a response. When he did respond he was nice, very polite, and apologetic. It seems to be a one man show there. When we made my changes and I received my order everything was perfect. He missed nothing. And the razors we spectacular. Still some of my favorites though some have managed to get plated in Rhodium somehow....And if you you have see his IG, absolutely no factory seconds go through. He refuses to sell them. I worked for a large family owned business for 17 years up until 2020 and I understand some of the challenges we faced compared to huge box stores and the internet. In this day and age, not many people do. But communication and customer service are still important to ANY business.

Hopefully this is a sign of better communication from him. His products are very popular and it can only help him. I would love to see more widespread availability, but certainly (as is evident in his work) not at the sacrifice of quality. There are zero shortcomings there.
