Hi!

Short story:
I have recently discovered this forum while looking for information about a new razor and after spending a couple of days reading some very interesting and useful discussions I decided to join the crew.

Long story:
I started wet shaving when I was young, with two Gillette razors that I received from my father, a twist to open and an adjustable that I still have and  enjoy from time to time. After few years I transitioned to a Track II, mainly because at that time I was traveling a lot and that razor was just easy to use, blades were good and available almost anywhere, and after all it was a good razor. I continued to use brush and shaving cream though, fortunately they had not introduced the awful lube-strips yet. In the late '90 a decided to grow a permanent beard, so I further transitioned to electric trimmers. That was until the beginning of last year when I decided to give it … a cut. Eliminated my beard, took my razors out of the drawer, and decided to start wet shaving again. Not having anything anymore, other than the razors and a brush, I went on-line  and I quickly discovered a new world: new razors, new soaps, new accessories, new brushes (even synthetic!!!). I quickly fell in the   (economical) abyss and I have yet to reach the bottom of it  Mad.
At this point I have several more DE's. I purchased a couple of straight razors (that I don't really use), I tried to ride the wave of the new SE razors, but mostly  I discovered the wonderful world of artisan  soaps so I have two drawers full of them. Fortunately I don't use vegetable or vegan soaps,  tallow is all I use.

My preferred razor: Oneblade Genesis (V2.0).
Other razors that I often enjoy: Feather AS-D2, RazoRock Hawk both SS and aluminum, Merkur 34, Gillette adjustable.
SE blades I typically use: Feather FHS, Feather AC Pro.
DE blades I typically use: Personna Comfort Coated, Polsilver Super Iridium, Feather Hi-Stainless.
Brushes I typically use: Stirling Fan Knot, Omega 618.
My aftershaves: Stirling , Thayers.
My favorite soap brand: Stirling.
Other brands I ofter use: Mike's Natural Soaps, Cold River Soap Works, Barrister and Mann, Cella, Fine Accoutrement, but I recently decided to reduce the use of soaps and aftershaves that contain fragrances and limit my choice to essential oils.

My latest acquisition: Oneblade Core.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Thanks everybody!

Lipripper660, yes I do have and like the 48, but lately I have been indulging myself with badger brushes, I had never owned one before last year (I did not even know they existed ...). But of course the 48 is a classic.
