is there a kickstarter page yet? while I doubt I'd buy 1, I appreciate the time, money and engineering that was spent to bring it to fruition. it's a beautiful razor.

The latest update in a nutshell is this. All razors will be PVD coated in 4 finishes. White Gold, White Gold with Yellow Gold accents, Yellow Gold with White Gold accents and Black Gold with Yellow Gold accents. It will be a Kickstarter funded Campaign and initial pricing will be discounted from the projected $625usd to $500usd. The way it was worded in the newsletter it seems that there will be a run of 400 razors and it states it will be available in 3 tiers. What that means I have no idea but, it looks like after the first 400 the razors go up in price if I understand it correctly. Kickoff is for April 30th for the KS Campaign and will run its course. On the fence but, leaning in to be honest.......

Too rich for my blood but wish all the best. Incredible design and finishing. The Lamborghini of razors.

Good looking renders. I’ll be rooting for Janus.

I think I’ve made up my mind if I decide to get one it’s going to be the all white gold. I like things simple.
I wish I could do a side by side Shave Off between this new Toggle and an original Toggle to see how it compares as I really enjoy the Shave I get from a Toggle.

I may try emailing him and asking him if he’d like to send me a pre production razor and I’ll do that Shave Off. Its got to be done at some point and depending on the results I’m sure it may have an effect on his sales as people would pretty much know what to expect Shave wise out of this new Toggle. I’d probably do a series of 3 Shave Offs using different settings on both Janus and Gillette Toggle. A low, medium and max setting.
Yep I’m going to email him.

I'm terribly on the fence. I like the Janus...but he did not address the fundamental flaw in Gillette adjustable designs...no user serviceability. Having seen the insides of a Toggle that only I shaved with for a few months, it's an issue, for me. They get nasty, fast. Even if you are careful and clean meticulously.

With that said, there are 1000s of Gillette's still running 70 years later without ever being user serviced. They don't cost $650 either tho.

My other reservation is fear of not being able to open it up enough. He said he added some gap on the last set of mods. Who knows.

Also, it's a rendering. Anyone can make a rendering look good. Hopefully, in 5 days, he posts actual photos for the Kickstarter campaign.

Should be fun to watch whether I buy or not.

It would be great if he agrees to this.

I'm not into Kickstarter, never been on it, so bear with the ignorance.

If he reaches the $50k goal, he is required to manufacture by Feb 2020? He needs to sell roughly 100 pre-orders?
What happens if the $50k goal is not met? You get money refunded?
What does the extra $25 and $50 tiers get you? I don't see the advantage.
