Janus razors Modern Machined Stainless Steel Adjustable Toggle

I am not sure if the Company still exists. I have tried 3 times to send an email to the address provided on the website and it keeps coming back No site found

Hi everyone,

I'm Eric, the founder of Janus Razors. Quick update of where I'm at in product development - late prototyping stage. I finished couple assemblies this week, and noticed I have a few tweaks to make before I send out (late March) the prototypes out to users for feedback. I finished CAD work for the 'problem parts' this weekend, and on Tuesday (02/27), I'm meeting with the machinist to go through the prints, and review part design for those parts.

I always send out a newsletter the last day of every month to keep folks up to date on how the product development process is coming along. Stoked to hear that folks are as passionate about the toggle like I am. I have MAD RESPECT for the engineers & machinists & assemblers who built the vintage toggle razor back in the day. They were wicked smart. They put mass customization in a razor before mass customization was a even business concept in Business School text books. They didn’t have 3D CAD and 3D printing to help them get stuff right before cutting metal. Truth be told, the vintage toggle is an incredible chassis to do a modern interpretation on. The Janus Razor design has 36 pcs. Of course, some of those pieces are off the shelf parts like springs and such.

I noticed the info@janusrazors.com email link was not successful for a few people, so sent a message to eric@, since that was in the reply I received after signing up for the newsletter. Eric responded quickly and obviously signed up here. This really looks to be an exciting project and I am looking forward to a new addition to my rotation.

I'm fortunate enough to have a vintage Gillette Adjustable Toggle. I'm still thrilled with that acquisition after 2 years. I have a bit of an obsession with vintage safety razors. I'm still amazed that these razors are still effective after so many years.( Some over 100 years old) I do own and use some modern safety razors. I am, after all, obsessed with all things related to wet shaving. Still, the Toggle is fascinating to me. Anyway, I also signed up for the email updates. I'm incurable! ;-)

Good to see this project is still going forward, I have followed on twitter some time ago and thought I had subscribed to the email (I have yet to get one) but I think that the design photos I've seen are a fantastic modern take on a classic.
