Eyeing a  24mm Shaveforge Boar knot next, but I'm taking it one brush at a time.[Image: 1fec2a5b421c6e29f272cfb263744924.jpg]

Looks great, and the price can't be beat. Looking forward to your thoughts on it. I read great things about Zenith boars!

That Lishi has my attention. Takes a DE and not an SE ? Interesting, never seen one and not listed in Waits Compendium. Cool find!

Beautiful handle. For me, the Persian Jar is the most beautiful and pleasing profile for a shaving brush.  Make sure to post the finished brush.

It’s not glued in yet, but Rudy sent me a pic with the knot [Image: 1fd9IjH.jpg]just set in.  Because of the grain of the wood, he gets a lot of pics for these.

What a beauty… Rudy doesn’t like bay rum but I love it, a certified junkie.  This brush will be used a lot with BR, that I can guarantee.

The Lupo 127 has arrived. It came with the Titanium Halo, but I had wanted the SS Haloed UFO. Both are nice.

My new Zenith Bleached Boar arrived from The Gentle Shave (one of our quieter vendors). It's a cheap plastic handle, which looks good nonetheless. The handle is solid and heavier than it has a right to be, being plastic. This is likely due in part to the plastic being as THICK as the day is long - I saw a picture of one cracked open to harvest the knot... wow! The result is a solid, quality feeling handle for pennies on the dollar.

The star of the show, of course, is the 26mm knot (64mm loft). I pulled it out of the box and immediately soaked it in water for ~30 mins. Then it got briefly lathered with a moisturizing Shea butter soap and put back on water to soak for a few hours. Upon drying and stropping it is already feeling fairly smooth (obviously it has a way to go). I can see several split ends already. It shouldn't be too many days until it's ready for prime time.

Very happy with this acquisition. [Image: 5da1fbac5f261f16f535244303fb28a8.jpg]

...and here is that picture I found of someone harvesting the knot. That's THICK!
