metal_shavings totally agree. I have three sizes of the Gamechanger and the Lupo.95. I used the GC .84 with a polsilver blade today. No issues. I will go back to the 1.05 tomorrow. I may continue with the polsilver and see how it performs. After this week, I will do a side by side to see what I like better.

GrizzlyCA I also have the 3 GC plates. .68, .84, 1.05. I wouldn't mind the Lupo .95 SB added to my roster. At some point I'm sure it will make it. I'm thinking it would be neat to put my Lupo .95 OC side by side with my Timeless Ti .95 OC. Among other razors (especially my Karves). Haha!!! As I said, the GC .84 and the .68 as well are excellent shavers.Very smooth, comfortable and well worth the price of admission. I just prefer the "Bigger Bite" as it were. That's why there's something for everyone!!!

metal_shavings totally likeminded with how you think! I will have you know, I am starting to think that your opinion on the Lupo .95 may be right. I shaved with that using a poly silver today and had a very close bbs. I honestly think it was closer than the gc 1.05
I have yet to try a timeless. I did get a new steed in the mail today. I am trying my first SE. one of the yaqi Romulus razors. I will give it a go tomorrow. I am still thinking the Lupo.95 might be the most efficient I have.

The Lupo is definitely a fantastic razor. The GC 1.05-P is definitely more satisfying for me than the .84 is. Not a knock on the .84 at all, it's a great plate, I just tend to go more aggressive with the higher gaps. It just seems to be what I like. On their scale of aggressiveness, Razorock does list the .84 in the medium category which I believe is accurate, at least for my personal experience. I'm going to post the chart separately as it has been updated with all the newer stuff like the Superslants and the 1.05-P. And, as luck would have it, I have managed not to go down the SE rabbit hole so far.

metal_shavings sorry for being MIA. Was out of town. So, the SE razor for me was a bust. I will be selling it. I did the last shave with it today. Four days and my Gamechanger and Lupo are way better.
This week will be back to the Gamechanger and Lupo. I still need to decide which I like best. I do like the 1.05 but I love my Lupo. More things to test. I will use only a Kai blade this week. It will be a mixed week for me as I am traveling for three days.

Confused2  I don't quite agree with that chart. To me the "Old Type" seems more aggressive than the "SLOC", which I would move down to "Mild-Medium".

I would bump the "Hawk Aluminum" up to at least "Medium Aggressive".

If the "Mission" head is exactly like the Edwin Jagger head that it resembles, then "Mild-Medium" seems right.

Thanks for this. The breadth of Razorock's DE razor offerings are really quite impressive!

I feel differently about the GC 68 & .84 SB. I would move them down the chart a bit to milder myself. I definitely don't feel the .84 approaches medium/aggressive. I know wsome people may feel that way, I just don't. I would figure Medium at best for the .84 and Mild/Medium for the .68. At least for me.

I didn't realize myself how many they truly had. It is great for the consumer. A little trial and error perhaps, but a lot of really good razors at great prices.
