Hi everyone, I sent a request to Brian Twilley the owner of now Everyday Shaving and previously Charcoal Goods Razors and asked what it would take to get him to bring back Charcoal Goods Razors. He answered me: We would be happy to offer any of the previously manufactured Charcoal Goods designs if there were enough customers interested in placing an order for a premium safety razor.

Who's in for a previously manufactured Charcoal Goods designs? Please specify in the comments section below which gen, level, type of metal and design you are interested in.

Important that you know that I have nothing to gain from this, just want to see Charcoal Goods Razors back on the market

How can I decide if I'm interested without knowing the price? He should post some old designs for sale on the website to check interest.

But a first-generation, high-polished titanium model with a stringer handle, or any design that's fancier, would work depending on the price.

It's not Brian Twilley who asks if there's interest, it's me who will checks if there's enough interest for me to get back to him and tell him there is x interest on DFS and then maybe i will get his interest to get them back to the market. And like I said, I'm doing this because I want to see Charcoal Goods Razors back on the market. I will get back to you with price as soon as I receive a answer from Brian, I can't promise exact prices but a rough estimate I hope i have for you soon.

It's difficult to expect a Mfg'r to bring back something just because there are dozens of guys that say they will buy one if it is made again, maybe if he had hundreds might be a different story, but I think that number is unreachable today... The reality of it is just because they say they would buy one, it just doesn't happen like that!! Just ask Shane Blackland Razors who had a bunch of people request his Brass Blackbird after it was discontinued wanting to buy it and the reality is within a short time period he has discontinued the Brass because sales weren't up to what was being asked for...

There was a time when Brian couldn't make razors fast enough to keep up with demand and most that said they wanted one moved on to something else, be it a Blackbird, Raw, Paradigm, Wolfman, Carbon, etc. just to name a few... Once the design changed, the move for the company, and the everyday razor everyone lost interest. Truly a shame but it happens...

I have no first hand experience with Charcoal Goods, as I was less involved in this pursuit during CG's peak. So I feel that I missed out on this iconic brand. I would be interested in purchasing some combination of the following:

Metal - Brass or Stainless Steel
Handle - Stinger or Anchor style
Gen and level  - Since I don't have any baseline for this I would say anything that approaches Blackland Blackbird, Paradigm Salient, or Paradigm Diamondback

I enjoyed the larger handles, namely the Magnum and Stinger handles, and wish he brought those back.

His last everyday design (gen 3?) for me worked well too, never had a razor worked so well with a Feather blade in it. It was a shame I didn't have a chance to try out the level 2 or 3 plates, I'm sure I would have loved those too.

Miracles happen bro. Look at Paradigm for instance, bringing back the Diamond Back, in Titanium mind you.

If Brian wanted to bring back those Charcoal Goods razors he totally could. There's still a large demand in the market out there. He could take preorders like Andy did and make it happen.

Paradigm has significantly dropped prices and offered the cheapest US-made, polished titanium razor for pre-order.

CG will have demand initially, but the market has changed, and it's uncertain how sales will go after the initial offering.

He could consider following Wolfman's strategy: wait a couple of months to accumulate orders, then produce everything at once when there's a gap in their other projects.
