Is the Shield AC a Rip Off of the Vector?

Just received an unsolicited promo in email proffering this razor. Sure hope it not a rip off of Shane's innovative Vector. 

One would have to be a pathetic human being to steal the creative work of another for profit. Would hope the community would take a stand to protect the legitimate artisans developing new products at reasonable prices versus the anything for a buck hucksters. 

Hoping Blackland Razors will comment telling us how this is not a cheap Chinese knockoff

I don't own any SE razors, but a quick search makes me think it doesn't look like it.

All razors of a certain type (de, ac, etc) are going to have many similarities. This head geometry appears drastically different. In fact, when I saw your picture I immediately thought of a Yaqi razor (katana, maybe?).

Just found what I was thinking of... The Yaqi Excalibur. They don't look the same, either, though. Sorry, wish I could be of more help.

I also got the email, but thought the head was probably bigger than a Vector, although no side view.

I finally got to try the McDowell’s of razors.
