Is the Fine Stout Brush still relevant

I was looking around on one of the many shopping sites and I saw the Fine Stout brush and I began to wonder. I believe this brush was considered a good synth at one point, but you hear almost nothing about it these days. Thus my question... Is this still a relevant product in 2021?

I think it's still relevant and is probably a good brush/knot (i don't know for certain b/c I've never owned one). The Stout probably falls under the "been around for awhile" category. And because of that, it just doesn't get mentioned as often. Seems like there are too many good products out there that don't get the love or attention they deserve because they aren't the shiny new toy.

I had wanted to buy one for awhile but, as I figured out what I liked and worked well for me, I decided not to buy it because of its size. My preference for shave brush handle length is approximately 70mm. Anything less than that and I have to absolutely LOVE the handle color/shape/knot/something. And despite being available in those gorgeous IU colors, it wasn't enough to overcome the fact it is so short

I had one and sold it, I liked the handle but I do think there are other synth knots that have come out since the Stout was first released that are nicer.
I just took a quick look and it looks like they now retail it for $30, which isn't "expensive" per se but I think there are much better values in synthetic brushes that probably have nicer knots (unless they've changed the one they're using).

Synthetic knots have improved significantly since the first ones came out. However, since people have a wide variety of preferences when it comes to shaving hardware and software, it is impossible to know how whether you will like the brush or not.
