Living on the edge
Today, I stumbled across a Santa Maria Novella boutique and had a browse.
I have to say I don't much care for their lotions and potions, especially
the weird, dated packaging.....but I dd walk out with a tub of their
shaving cream. At 7.4 FL. OZ. this has long lasting written all over it....kinda
like Expec or MDC.

I usually like menthol-like creams with a strong eucalyptus vibe, so this
will be interesting...however I doubt I'll be dropping this kind of money
on this cream again...no matter how good. Still, I have eaten my words
before so let's see how it performs.

The scent of this soap is heavenly. Do their make their own soap or does someone make it for them?

Yeah I like the smell...has a slightly medicinal whiff about it.
I think this used to be a pharmacy run by monks or nuns (wild guess).
The germans call this kind of outfit 'Apotheke'. Maybe some German
dude will set me right on this.

It's a very good soap that lasts for a long time. If you like mentholated soaps, it's a safe buy. Slickness is amazing.

It’s one of my favorites, and not that expensive given the volume (220ml listed but they do fill generously). Menthol is light but there.

Well, I tried this croap today and loved it! Everything, from the scent, to the sheer
quality of lather and post shave face feel was top notch. The slickness was evident.
I don't think I can make do with just one tub of this...lol.

It completely outshone some heavyweights like MDC, ADP and ABC.

One more thing....I once bought a Razorock knockoff called Santa Maria del fiore
since I'd read it was the official value for money version of SMN. Having tried the original
today, I can safely say there is no comparison at all.

Fantastic buy for me.

Fantastic buy for me.

$71.00 MSRP for any shaving soap/cream IMO is insane.
