Rockwell 6c or 6s. I don't know why other razors are made.

I decided a few years back that I would buy one high end stainless razor and never look back if it met my expectations. Well, I nailed it with the Feather AS-D2 and I haven't even considered giving it up or buying another high end razor. I tried several lesser expensive razors ranging from $30 to $80, some of which I still own, but the AS-D2 turned out to be the perfect razor for my sensitive skin and coarse beard.

Oh man oh man. My top three at the moment are Blackbird, Charcoal Goods lvl 2, Rex. I'm getting getting to get rid of everything else in my den.

I would agree with you if we were talking about any other adjustable on the market, vintage or modern. But the Rex is something special. Sometimes I want a mild effortless shave that I know has zero chance of irritation, enter the Rex on 2. Sometimes I want a two pass BBS, enter the Rex on 6.5. The Rex can do it all! All the while looking great and feeling great in hand.

I actually totally agree with this assessment. The Rex is on another level as far as adjustables go for me. This is one you WILL use on different settings.

It feels great to down size your razor collection! As well as your shave soaps and aftershaves. Makes the choices in the morning so much easier ha!

This is great input. There were a couple of comments about the Rockwell. I have a 6C in Chrome and have been very, very impressed with it.

If the original post had a $100 max budget, my answer would be 6S.

Right, if I could have only one razor at any budget it would be the Rockwell 6s Happy2
