I agree with Hector that there seems to be something of a SE fad going on right now. As repetetive as the new offerings may seem, the nice thing about all this is that for some of us, single-edge razors are the ticket to some really great shaves.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

That's a positive thing for sure, more options for the SE users, specially with sensitive skin.

Tend to agree in that they are all derivative- similar to same heads.

An OC would be interesting and the adjustable another fine idea.

Aw, come on Hector.

Double edge and cartridges with from 2 to 5 edges are far more prolific and boring than single edge.
None of them can, so far, best the single edges.

What! Me biased? Well, perhaps a little but with justification.

Let's shake hands, Hector, and may the better blades prevail.

Mickey

P.S.
I admit I am a sinner. I do shave on Sundays. But only with a single edge.

I had been exclusively a SE user for several years, first with a CC, then with a KC.  Dabbled with a Mongoose (didn't care for it), then one day returned to the DE family.  After using ATTs, a Wolfman, and a Feather the last few months I find the DE razors much more satisfying.  SE razors tend to be big and cumbersome, much like a SUV, while the DE razors are the sports cars of the shaving world.  Small, quick, and sexy.  Clearly, I need to see a shrink........

My only issue with the Rocnel is that they keep taking on more razor projects without being able to fulfill the demand for what they already "sell". As far as the Feather AC system razors, I keep buying them as I keep looking for something better than the original Cobra Classic. The Mongoose isn't it for me. The ATT SE is a bit better now that I have paired it with a Bob's Razor Works handle with the heavy magnetic bottom tip. Much better balance and a cleaner shave experience for me. Something will come along which finally surpasses the Cobra Classic and then all bets are off on who ends up buying them. I think then the demand will be high.

I'd love to see a GEM razor come out, but I have zero desire for yet another blade system. I'm already using DE, AC and FHS blades in addition to my straights.

I have an AlumiGoose 2 and the ATT Bamboo SE1. I think the shave is very different between the two. The ATT seems much smoother to me. Now that I have some shaves in with the ATT, I should try it with a different handle as wingdo has suggested worked better for him.

I can understand the fatigue with the proliferation of the market with all of these Feather AC blade based SE's, hrfdez. They do seem to be very similar. I, too, would welcome a GEM SE blade based razor to the market. Now that would be different. I would think the first to market with one of these could make something out of it.

It's still a really fun time to be enjoying everything related to traditional wet shaving!

Well the Rocnel is / was in stock at extrashaving or whoever they sell through.  I placed my order hit what appears to be checkout (it's not in English) and I got whisked away to PayPal.  I log in so complete the payment and I get this lovely message from PayPal:

yea it happened about a week or so a go that Paypal was not in compliances with the Turkish bank requirements and PP can no longer be used for purchases in Turkey. Maybe you should give your CC or DC a shot?
