How many times do you use a blade?

Typically for me I usually go between three and five shaves. Some blades can definitely be pushed beyond five shaves and some that I have tried didn't work out so good. I'm kind of at the point where I figure I should quit while I'm ahead before the shave quality deteriorates. Right now I've typically been tossing them after three, but I'm also trying to burn through my stash a bit and narrow it down to the blades I like the most. Hopefully.

It depends the blade but in general I toss them out after 5 shaves. However the only blade that last an eternity for me is Gillette Silver Blue. I got 18 shaves out of it and each one was as good and close as the previous one. Go figure.

Exactly well said Max  my Astra Blue Superior I can get easly 10 shaves plus but I don’t push it…

Well this is Subjective what Brand it is, quality, what material is being used etc… 

I find my Astra Blue Superior made in 70’s to be the best and last DE Blade ever made when it comes to smoothness, sharpnes and blade it self is forgiving even tho I have sensitive skin and prone to rashes etc this blade is best I have seen and tried among so many brands I have tried….

But again YMMV everyone is different and it’s subjective we all have different type of skin…

Yes it is made in Czechoslovakia real Astra’s

I usually dispose of my blade after the third shave.
Some could go longer, perhaps much longer. But they're inexpensive so why tempt fate and lousy shaves?

Who knew? How about LOOT ? I’m saying less than 2, lololol

I get 5 shaves per blade. I'm a 3-Pass shave guy, i.e., WTG/XTG/ATG. My current favorite blades are Astra SP. I've tried numerous blades over the years, but my Scandinavian/Scots-Irish heritage won't allow me to buy 'premium' blades or, to be a "One and done" kind of fellow.
