Words of wisdom, SABOTEURw.

The trouble is I enjoy it so much I tend to forget some of these wise suggestions.
My grandfather shaved every day.
My father shaved every day.
I shave every day. I will not leave the house until I have shaved.
Usually three passes and touch up.
With the single edge GEM Ultramatic Open Comb two passes would do but I don't want to miss out the pleasure of the extra pass and T.U.
It doesn't make me look any better but it smells and feels soooo good.

So, I wear a mild beard year round. BUT, like I said, it is a mild one that I keep in check, so with that, my answer to the question is that I shave (neck and cheeks) every 2-3 days and each shave consists of 2 passes with the grain and one final "clean-up for that BBS shave" pass against the grain.

Having been wetshaving for about 25 years now Smile, I believe I have my process down so that I rarely end up with any irritation and almost never (unless I am REALLY rushing it and not paying attention) do I have any nicks or weepers!

BTW, it is one of my favorite things to do to relax, so I try never to rush Smile

I shave every day 3 passes although if I skip a day I get a closer shave or if I want to use a more aggressive razor I'll skip a day

M-F as well. Saturday or Sunday off and if on vacation or holidays might take a few days off.
Giving the skin a break now and then feels good.

I do two passes every morning and get DFS to DFS+. I've gotten BBS twice with these two passes.

Daily, in the morning. Always two passes, seldom touch ups. Going for BBS only once in a blue moon, for particular occasions. In the weekend I have more time and can truly take my time and enjoy it even more. Every now and then it's good to take a day off, though, as I find that my skin benefits, as does my technique for some reason.

I don't get the evening or night shavers. It is, as an earlier poster said, about the good feeling and smell. Why waste that on my pillow??

I can't shave two days in a row. I tried for quite some time, but it caused me severe ingrowns and irritation, so now I shave every other day. Works pretty well. Smile

Daily.

Before I knew anything about traditional shaving, my goal...when I bothered to shave...was to remove the hair from my face.

ALL of it.

I turned to traditional shaving because I wasn't able to do that the way I was shaving. I shave daily now because I enjoy traditional shaving. I practiced until I COULD shave daily AND remove all of the hair from my face.

I only regret that it took me so long to learn how to properly shave.
