I think one thing that really helped me in my shave journey was the realization that if I skipped at least one day, I could use whatever razor I wanted - but if I'm shaving daily I need to use something fairly mild. That is, to get a close shave with zero irritation, which is my goal.

I could never use an Ikon or muhle R41 everyday, but if I leave my face alone for 2 days, they are fair game. My daily drivers are very mild (futur set on 3 or my ATT R2).
