This morning I performed my first-ever side-by-side comparison.  I'm not sure why I've never done that before, but felt like it was warranted.  I think my H1 was just a hair (pun intended) closer, and has a more flexible angle.  I'm guessing most traditional shavers who do 2 or 3 passes wouldn't notice much difference in closeness, though.  I think the Start is a bit more comfortable on my neck.

I'm going to plan on a couple more shaves this week with the 1.18 plate and some different blades, then get it to the post office on Saturday.  kooshman7 will you PM me your mailing information some time this week?

I'll post final thoughts once I've done a final few shaves.

Shaved the noggin the .90 SB plate today using Grooming Dept. Valencia and a fresh Polsilver blade. Gotta say it was super smooth! I think it may have been smoother then the Karve C plate and Gamechanger .84 albeit not as efficient. I will test further later in the week face to face with the Karve C plate. Overall an enjoyable shave and I'm excited to try the other plates and give the .69 plate another chance with the polsilver.

Also dmshaver sorry that it went to me first must have been a small mix up or something but ill get it out to you this weekend if you're still interested in it, as I believe you're next on the list?

drewyoshida & andrewjs18 , I'm in the middle of a shave-off, so to be fair, I'm going to ask that I be removed from this pass around. If I'm able to dig my way out & this pass around is still going on, I'll see if I can be added back onto the list.

To Andrew, thank you for your generosity. To those participating, thank you for your reviews. Enjoy!

Received the Karve B plate in the mail today and could not wait to use it so I decided to shave off against the Start .69 plate. Using Zingari Gypsy (vegan) and a polsilver in both the Karve and Start. I took turns using both razors to shave my dome rather then doing half n' half. The Start felt smoother then the karve although not as efficient or intuitive with the angle. I also find the low profile head geometry of the karve to be more comfortable for me personally. I swapped out the blade in the karve to both a personna blue and personna chrome platinum, which did make it somewhat smoother but the start was still a little smoother and also glided easier from the polished finish. I then shaved my beard neckline with both and found the Karve to be smoother, due to the smaller head and angle in a tight space. Overall, I do enjoy my Karve more but the homelike definitely has a couple advantages over it.

I'm dialing in my personal favorites of my vintage razors. It's a battle to the finish between the following contenders: RFB #44, RFB #77, Goodwill #160, '34 Aristocrat, NEW Criterion DeLuxe, & I need a representative from the SB side, so I'm including the Diplomat in the line-up. And I am enjoying it a great deal!

Shaved with .90 OC & 1.18 plates today. Wasn't a fan of either unfortunately. Found the open comb to be too rough and the 1.18 to be too aggressive for me. I do really like the .69 & .90 plates though! I think I'm going to shave with the .90 plate again tomorrow, compare it with the Karve C plate and then either ship it out to the next dude tomorrow or Saturday.
