High end razors not used as much

Well there are Chinese copies of watches that are made by reverse engineering a genuine model so something like a futur would be very easy. They must either not have a genuine bbs-1 or a Wolfman to copy. Or the market must not be large enough.

I didn't find cartridge shaves to be bad, just boring beyond my tolerance and expensive. The expense was my breaking point. They simply wanted far too many $ for the chore. It was neither fun nor enjoyable. Now it is both and inexpensive as well. My razors no longer clog and the cart's ALWAYS did. I always had to slam them  onto the edge of the sink to dislodge the cutoffs and lather. That mostly didn't work. So what I was left was with a shaving method that didn't work, was boring, just a chore, and expensive. Is it any wonder that I searched for other ways to remove my facial growth?

And then, as I'm banging it on the edge of the sink, dislodging all the gunk, the stupid thing breaks ...."OH, MAN, THAT'S MY LAST ONE AND I'M LATE!!!!" (and I'm sure I didn't use any more colorful language   )

They are reloadable?. Schick didn't advertise as heavily as Gillette did and that is why they didn't sell as well. They were old technology going up against the newer cartridge razors that Gillette was marketing.

I don't know if I can beat your shave but I will say that the Gillette Mach 3 that i used to use never gave me a shave as nice and close as the Wolfman WR1.  Now I'll admit that its not an apples to apples comparison because back when I was using the mach 3 I did a one pass shave (plus touchup) even after I started using brush and soap instead of canned foam so I don't know how it would compare if I did a three pass shave with the mach 3.  And I don't plan to find out either.  

Well... You could be quite surprised. The soap and the brush make a BIG difference, but the technique makes THE difference. A proper three pass shave, with good soap, and the technique that classic DE razors have taught us and when you're done, you might look at that Mach 3 with different eyes as I did. I agree that they're boring, expensive and soulless, but they are efficient. Indeed they are.

And yes, I did miss the -very- fine print . I hope   @wizeOneears in mind that a lot us surf from Android devices with smaller screens and have aging eyesights, next time he does a trick like that .

You make very good points - I think a large part of the crappy cartridge shaves we all used to get is that we had lousy technique. Virtually no prep, splash of water, shot of foam and a quick single pass of the razor rinse and splash on some aftershave and we wondered why we had bad shaves. Yes, the DE experience has certainly developed our technique hasn't it? I've told a few friends who are reluctant to try the DE shave that they could dramatically improve their daily shave by just upgrading to decent soap and a brush and doing a second pass or even a third. Some guys won't change though, its like they enjoy complaining about their crappy shave. You can only try.

I figured you missed it - it was hard to see on my laptop so I could imagine on a handheld device it would have been almost invisible.

I agree Marko, it's all about the prep when it comes to getting a great shave. However, I think anything over 3 blades is insane and is unneeded. I get great shaves from my Sensor loaded with an inexpensive Personna Tri-Flex cartridge.

(With a few rare exceptions.)"

Gillette didn't really begin to make the Big $$ until they put it all on the line by advertising on the radio program Cavalcade of Sports in 1942 during the war. It was an unheard of amount of $$ at that time. As well, Schick only offered their only DE razor design, the legendary Krona, sometimes in the late 50's and although it was in the opinion of many (myself included) a better razor, it was too little & too late for that market. They became sort of the Indian Motorcycle co. of the shaving world.

There is nothing miraculous about the Wolfamn's geometry and that would be simple to knock off but its the fit and finish that is the truly wonderful thing and that would take just as much time for a knock off as the original although the time of a person to do that goes for a slightly lower hourly rate in China than in North America.

There is no doubt high end "boutique" razors are fit & finished to the nth degree. We can all agree on that and also that there is nothing wrong with pride of ownership. However, when people start saying the shave is "light years" better than "fill in the _____ run of the mill razor" my BS alarm goes off. They then have crossed the line into unabashed confirmation bias IMO. Just my 2 cents.
