Hi gentlemen:
A gentleman with the nick "Waveflow" joined our local forum "foroafeitado" and advised me to join this community when I asked him what English speaking forum I could join in order to enhance my knowledge in wet shaving, and as you see I have taken his advice. I've already seen that there are some other familiar names from the Spanish forums like Teiste or Lu20vt just to mention two. People I have already learnt a lot from already and whose advice has been really useful so far.
I'm relatively new to traditional wet shaving. I would stress "traditional" because I wet shaved all my life as I can't tolerate electrics, but as many, I used cartridge razors and canned creams, which resulted in uncomfortable shaves, irritation, and a feeling of being abused each time I needed to buy expensive cartridge replacements that lasted for three or four shaves (when lucky). They wouldn't withstand the stress of dealing with a face full of whiskers so hard that if I rubbed myself hard enough, I could file down a tree with them. One day I read something about DE razors and became interested. Following day I was buying a cheap badger brush and a stick of La Toja, but kept my Gillette Fusion. The results were interesting. Less than a couple of weeks later my Edwin Jagger DEL89L was being delivered at home, together with some other goodies and assorted blades.
Since then, it just got better. The EJ is still my only razor but I have added a couple of creams to my arsenal, both made in Spain, those being the Lea Classic and Barbería Alvarez Gómez creams. There are plans for some more in the close future, and will be ordering a Merkur Slant sometime soon, also. I've been told it will probably help with my hard whiskers and sensitive skin.

. We're glad to have you here! Waveflow is a highly respected fellow, so I'm glad you two met!

I haven't used Myrsol yet, but I have already PMed Manuel (Jabonman) with some guidelines about my preferences and I'm waiting for his response, then I'll pull the trigger and order a soap and an after shave balm from him. His products have achieved a high reputation and I couldn't wait any longer to give them a try.
