Greetings all,

I am in wet shaving for about 8 years now, I mostly use straight razor for my beard, and DE or SE for head shaving.
As I am self taught I see myself as a noob, so I hope to find new information in this community.

Matt.

I didn’t think about it when I had to choose my username, I was thinking about something related to shaving and it was the first thing to come in my mind. Tongue But thanks for the compliment.

Matt.

I think wet shaving has a pretty loyal following in Japan. On twitter I've got a handful of SotD buddies and they've got some pretty nice kit. Although it's not perfect, Google translate is a wonderful thing!

There’s some nice gear here indeed, specially some nice vintage straight razors and obviously Jnat. It’s also easy to get SE blades for a cheap price and if you like feather’s blades or Kai no problem at all.
In the other one hand I find difficult to get modern DEs or SEs most of them are US made so the shipping cost is kind of a pain.
The worst in my opinion is the software like soaps and aftershaves. Most of the time I have to buy in the US and sometimes in the EU, the cost with the shipping is horrendous. Like most of the wet shaving enthousiaste I like zingaro man, B&M, Déclaration grooming, Crown&Crane, 345 soaps, etc… which are North American and I also love some good Spanish soaps maker like Daisho, l’os Jabones de Joserra, Lodrino and Manuel the Jabonman. The shipping cost is my enemy. Tongue
I also failed to mention that I generally prefer Belgian Coticules than Jnat I find that the edge get a wee smoother, it’s just a personal preference. I naturally own both and too much if I listen to my wife.
