There are many photos of the AL13 +++ (aggressive) Version 2 in reviews, forums, BST, and at vendor sites. Unfortunately, all of those photos are poor representations of the actual color. There is only one good representation of the gray color, and it is a video review of the razor on youtube.
It is under the title: Henson AL13 Aggressive +++ Geofatboys Everyday Shave #20
Since it is a video with good lighting, you get a better sense of the blues that come out of the medium gray. I have never seen this color in any razor, or in any other product. IMHO, Henson got lucky with this anodized color, and I am sure they had no idea it would turn out as good as it did.

Medium! First shave today, actually. The issue with my opinion is twofold - I have no technique yet, and I have nothing to compare it to, as all my past razors were crappy electrics. Still, no blood drawn and certainly a much closer shave than I've ever done myself before. I also still need to figure out lather and long term blade choice. So thus far, the 'henson excellent beginners choice' holds true.
The main reason I finally pulled the trigger on this is that I started to spend a lot of time outdoors, wearing sunscreen, and any stubble makes the good zinc based sunscreens incredibly hard to rub in.
I'm good at collecting and have a few friends/family to convert, so I'm not worried about over buying. I snagged a timeless ti from the other forum, hopeful to get a few others in the coming weeks.

Did they say why they do that?
Their target is regular cartridge shavers, so they didn't want to cause any confusion to those customers. This was their way to appease us enthusiasts, but not confuse regular people.
