Thanks Zac. Hope you’re doing alright in this insanity. It appears that LA was hit quite hard!

Absolutely, as far as I'm concerned.  I have lived here for more than half my life, having moved here in 1975.  While I have fond memories of my native Brooklyn, New York and, through much of my 20s, Toledo, Ohio, San Diego is home.

If this horror known as COVID-19 ever eases up, perhaps we could meet for a coffee.  I don't know how well you know San Diego's neighborhoods but I live in North Park, about 4-1/2 miles from downtown.

For sure! I love North Park and frequent Seven Grand/Urbn quite often!

I’m a noob to wet shaving, but not so typical as I tend to dive head first into any hobby I enjoy and quickly try to Master it (Which ultimately lead to RAD)

It started simple as it usually does with guys shopping on amazon...  a EJ89, Rockwell 6C, and some TOBs sandalwood. I was quickly enveloped in the hobby and purchased a KARVE, Nodachi, Homelike Start 1.18, RR GC .84, Blackland Vector, and now a Paradigm DB. Being military I love quick and efficient two pass shaves so I tend to prefer more aggressive razors.

About a month into my wet shaving journey I found a true love for Straight Razors after purchasing a Dovo Bismarck and a WCS Latigo strop. Before I knew it, I bought a 7/8 Ralf Aust, a beautiful 8/8 W&B FBU,  a full set of Natiwa Honing stones, a Goku 20k, and a beautiful horsehide “Old No. 2” strop.

Currently I’m researching JNATs as I really want to sit down and experience the Zen of a nice Ozuku/Shobudani and am saving up for a Max Sprecher.

I also have a deep appreciation for artisan brushes and have a managed to acquire two TDRs, a dogwood w/declaration B9B, and chubby 2 in super.

When I’m not working or researching shaving technique/gear, I’m working out; running, or enjoying a good whiskey and cigar!

Whiskey is  the Way to Go Happy2,  I love Single Malts 12 Yrs Dalmore my fav.
