I heard the snap of the paddle from clear across the bar on several occasions. No thanks. Really good food and beer though.

Well for two people that never gamble we left the tables with $800+ more than we walked down there with. Now if I can just find a place with savile row brushes for sale lol.

Sounds like you had the sense to leave at the right time.  Happy2 I’ve lived here in Vegas for over six years, but I have never gambled a cent, because the saying “the house always wins” is usually quite accurate. However, there are folks here who do make money by playing. I guess you just have to know what you are doing.

I wouldn’t know where to even recommend looking for a Savile Row (I go to the Strip maybe 2–3 times a year), but good luck finding one!

You just have to listen to my father's advice: "There is a reason all of those shiny buildings are open and 99% of the tourists leave there broke."

That’s a good one! Smile I’m glad that wasn’t the case for you, and you were actually able to leave with more than you had upon arrival. Extra money for shaving acquisitions!

kudos! I usually only play the slots and typically don't spend more than $50 on them the entire time I'm in Vegas!

Back home now thank God, but I did have a great time. Thanks for all of the suggestions. I never did but anything from L'Occitaine. I guess Proraso in a tube really does go bad though (It was about three years old). The first squirt was fine, but after that it looked like it was separated so I threw it away. I walked across the street to CVS and bought what was available: Van Der Hagen Luxury soap. I thought I was in for a total crappy lather, but color me surprised the stuff was actually pretty good, and there you have it. YM really does vary and it is now in my travel bag for future use. Well that and I need something to break in my semouge 620.

That is a great room! It seems a tad ritzy for Proraso, though. Big Grin

Yep it was. Didn't want to bring anything I could lose. The funny thing is Delta Airlines lost my wife's bag for 48 hours when we got there.

"Well we'll give you $100 to go get something to wear."

Seriously lol?

Like my wife said: "Any pair shoes that are in my bag cost more than that."

Since it was her friend's 40th birthday and she had nothing to wear they are bending over backwards with her on the phone right now.
